Usually not a big fan of catacombs, but these were amazing.  So many layers of history underneath Naples, so I can only imagine what else has not been discovered.   Eerie feeling and not sure the air is great, but could not imagine how people went down there years ago.  Nice a cool during the summer months and you will want to continue to search if you were allowed.   Definitely worth the trip.

A really interesting visit with a brilliant guide who told us the history of the catacombs very eloquently. A little bizarre and brutal history about the way bodies were prepared for burial made the visit even more macabre. Well worth a visit and incredible value. A community driven project where all the proceeds go back into the community projects improving a deprived area of the city, so well with supporting.

One of the highlights of our stay in Naples was the Catacombs of San Gennaro. Our English speaking tour guide had a sweet accent and was extremely knowledgeable. We were able to ask questions along our tour and he was a plethora of knowledgeable. Multiple level experience. We were so fixated on the catacombs that at one point we missed a piece of information. He was kind enough to repeat himself. The tour is GREAT! I would highly recommend 👌

We had a fantastic tour and learnt a lot about the history of the Catacombs as well as the history of this particular suburb and the role tourism plays in the lives of the local young people. Highly recommend.

Impressive catacombs, very tall ceilings in comparison to roman ones, and only ones that allow photos. These are also not on the underground level but are dug into the hill, so it's great for anyone who is claustrophobic and wants to visit catacombs. These are bigger than San Gaudioso but the same ticket is valid for both catacombs so definitely visit both.
