A very interesting museum located in historic center with art work varied from ancient times to near present. Fantastic courtyard and places to sit and enjoy the atmosphere. The museum is free for EU citizens. Highly recommended.

I really liked the museum. Archaeological, artistic and historical exhibitions are combined here. So there really is a lot to see. I also really liked the fact that in addition to the main exhibition, the museum also has an open storage room and you can view exhibits that were not included in the main exhibition. Highly recommend this place!

Some of the best things you've experienced on a trip are sometimes the ones that were free.
Here you see a wide selection of pottery, coins, arrow tops from stone age, walls, mosaics, painting, weapons, coffins and more.
Even though it's in the heart of the city it's still quiet and peaceful, no long lines, to get in and staff there are extremely friendly.
This place is a must see.
By the way it's free for EU citizens but I don't think it's expensive for others.
It's worth it!

Paid only around 1 Euro, maybe 1.50, and got to see a lot of beautiful Art and sculptures. There are three floors, 1 Paintings, 1 Sculptures and 1 relicts, vases. There are lockers for your bags in different sizes. Lovely women at the entrance. Sadly I couldn't walk outside. They have a beautiful terrace. I'm not sure if it's open on other days

Awesome place at extremely low price. You can find archeological finds from the entire Malaga region and some of the coolest mosaics I’ve seen. The museum is also close by to the Roman theater and the Alcazaba so you can very well do all in one day.
