What a spectacular stay! The Edge in Uluwatu is a luxury resort and day club with breathtaking views and pristine accommodation. The resort is a far trek from the airport, but the roads are doable by cab or moped as needed and well worth the trip.

The first thing is the views, you truly feel like you’re on the edge of the world. The view is a fully unencumbered panoramic vista of endless sky and ocean that is truly magnificent.

We stayed in premiere villa, ‘The View’, which sits at the top of the hill and has a sensational five bedrooms, private wine cellar, cigar room, 8-seat movie theatre and children’s playroom. There are two separate private infinity pools and numerous spots on the patio to lounge and relax to the sounds of waves crashing on the cliffs below.

The villa comes with its own butler and kitchen staff who can provide food/beverages from the set menu or as requested. The butler also acts as a concierge of sorts and will take requests as needed, like if you need to book the gym or tennis courts, do laundry, or order in food from outside restaurants, etc. The food provided was excellent quality, and was a wide range of Western and Indonesian meals.

The rooms are spacious with en suite bathrooms that have sliding shutters to separate (or not) the bedroom. Each bathroom has a wide walk in shower, separate glass walls for the toilet and a bathtub with his/her sinks. One downfall is the lighting is poor in the bathroom, and although there is a makeup ring light mirror on the wall, doing makeup or hair was not ideal.

One caveat is there are a number of monkeys around the resort that can be aggressive in their search for food. A warning to not leave food unattended on the patio or leave the patio door open without a person nearby, as we had a few close calls with a monkey actually running inside to grab a banana from a table.

Otherwise, there beach club below is a great place to relax for the day, and admission is complimentary for those staying at the resort. Overall, this is a breathtaking and luxurious resort with incredible views, service and facilities that will be a stay to remember for years to come!

What a great place and great service! My son left the watch there and only realized after we left to another 1hour distance journey place! Called back the restaurant and immediately they helped found the watch and arranged Gojek delivery service to send the watch to us! Best service! So glad that I spent whole afternoon here!

Nothing wrong at all. Superb service, food, and villas. The service were super friendly and nice to chat with. No complaints. Would highly recommend. The staff at “the view” from 11 Oct. - 14 Oct. was great. And inherently by the name, the view was great.

Also the gym was pretty good.
I always feel I forget to mention anything about the food. Good. Super good.

It's a wonderful experience here... the edge truly feels like the edge of the world... we stayed in the Shore villa. With a pool. The pool was well maintained, the lagoon near the resort pool is totally unexpected. The infinity pool gave an unforgettable experience. Go with swim goggles and you can see a waterfall under the cliff from the bottom glass of the pool. Lovely experience...
All that said, our butler felt like family and we were a little upset to leave the place yet...  our butler, Putu Mardiana (Mardi) is a lovely person. He made us great food, was really good. Hangs out with kids if you plan to go for a spa or anything... he made our experience even better. He used to save food for kids in case they wanted to eat later. A very kind, well mannered and thoughtful person. We would always want to go there again and again. Lovely experience.

I get a very private romantic dinner here's and it is wonderful. I came right before sunset, so I got another extravagant view of sunset at the table.

Talk about the food I love all the dishes, I took 4 course meals, the taste is nice and the presentation is delightful. My recommendation is the valrhona mouse, it is so great...
