The Local is a fantastic spot for authentic Thai cuisine. The flavors were absolutely incredible, and the entire dining experience was memorable.
Special thanks goes to Mr. O who guided us through every dish and explained how to eat it the Thai way.

We ordered the deep fried sea bass with minced chicken and finished off with tamarind sauce, which was perfectly crispy and flavorful.

The Tom Yum soup was a burst of vibrant, tangy spices truly one of the best we've ever had.

The deep fried chicken with garlic and black pepper was crispy and packed with bold flavors it was served with prawn crackers.

The Thai Spicy Yellow Curry with fish was the star of the meal rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with tender pieces of fish that melted in your mouth.

The mixed seafood fried rice was perfectly cooked and delicious, rounding out an amazing meal.

The ambiance was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were attentive and friendly. Whether you're a local or visiting, this is a must-try for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Thai food. Highly recommend.

We were initially impressed with the 2 appetizers, they were pretty and delicious! However, the main courses fell short of our expectations, especially since the restaurant has been in the Michelin Guide for years. The staff kept pushing higher-priced dishes, including their signature steamed fish, which was claimed to be super fresh by the staff. Unfortunately, we regretted ordering it as the fish had a fishy taste, and the texture was slightly mushy. To end the meal, we thought the desserts would redeem the experience, but oddly enough, we’ve had better versions of the same desserts at food court in the malls.

Great dinner place. Never fail to have feast at the local. Food is tasty and the atmosphere is fantastic too. We had more food but truly forgot to take photos. The price is also decent for the quality of phone.
We love the fact that we can choose the options for rice too.

I visited “THE LOCAL,” a popular restaurant located a short walk from Asok Station in Bangkok. This restaurant is featured in the Michelin Bib Gourmand and lives up to its reputation. Here’s what I ordered:
•	Assorted appetizers
•	Pomelo salad
•	Massaman curry
•	Green curry
•	Dragon fruit cocktail

The assorted appetizers were beautifully presented, with all five items perfectly seasoned and portioned. They were delicious and elegant. The pomelo salad had a refreshing grapefruit-like flavor that paired perfectly with the shrimp. The balance of acidity and sweetness was excellent.

The Massaman curry, made with beef tongue, was rich in flavor, though the meat was slightly tough. On the other hand, the green curry had a bold, spicy kick but was still mild enough for Japanese palates. The tender, melt-in-your-mouth meat made it truly exceptional.

With its extensive menu and delicious offerings, this is a restaurant I would love to revisit the next time I’m in Bangkok!
