Absolutely a must-visit, even if it means heading out from the city center! This modern art museum is nothing short of mesmerizing. I stopped by in mid-November, and while it was chilly for the outdoor exhibits, the experience was totally worth it. Plus, there’s a fantastic restaurant inside that serves delicious food! Enjoying a meal while soaking in the stunning art and breathtaking sea view during lunch was an unforgettable treat!

This is one of the most beautiful museums I’ve ever visited. The architecture and atmosphere are stunning. There are various rooms, with some allowing you to walk through gardens and along the coast. The art pieces are impressive, but what really enchanted me was the place itself. It gets quite busy, so I recommend arriving before opening time to avoid the crowd. I wouldn’t recommend going on a rainy day (like I did), as you have to walk quite a bit outside to reach the different rooms.

Beautifully housed in an interesting mix of architecture and landscape. We were lucky to go on a stunning blue day but I’m sure it would be gorgeous at any time.
The art collection is stunning and is better appreciated by being able to mix it up with walks or lunch in the outdoor areas. We didn’t have lunch but the cafes looked very good and were being well-appreciated by an eclectic mix of people. I was disappointed we could not walk right down to the water but it is understandable this would not be secure for the gallery.
Definitely worth the 20 minute train ride from Copenhagen.

I love sculpture parks with monumental sculptures and Louisiana has some amazing sculptures in an amazing landscape.
I was more in love with the sculptures outside than the other exhibitions inside, not that I disliked them but sculptures are more my thing 🤷‍♂️
There are of course several amazing sculptures by Giacometti inside the museum so definitely go inside 😄
We had lunch which was really tasty and filled the hunger hole, and of course a beer 🍺 😋
If you decide to go I'd say go about opening time, go outside first as you'll get people free pictures. It starts to get really busy very quickly.

Definitely worth the visit. I visited during the  weekend, fall season and it was packed. They said it's the most popular museum in Denmark, so get ready for the crowds. My only suggestion/concern is that to use the lockers you need a 20 KR coin. They should either provide tokens or change the system. Who carries cash these days?
