We were lucky to book a table for our final night in Cefalú at this wonderful restaurant. It was our first week in Italy, and now three weeks later I can officially say the meal we had at La Brace was the best one. We had the pear and veggie salad in Gorgonzola sauce, spicy Gorgonzola pasta, and - the superstar in my opinion - the pork, fennel, raisin pasta. We also had some lovely house red wine. The male waiter was so warm, informative and attentive despite the busy restaurant and we loved the family-run feel. Thank you so much, it was a privilege to dine here.

the best place to eat in cefalu! The pesto pasta with swordfish was amazing! The owner is incredibly friendly and down to earth! When I couldn’t decide between two dishes, he gave me a taste of the other one free of charge! He also kindly gave us a try of both flavours of panacotta! A very great place and you MUST book in advance! Totally recommend- just book it!

A cozy, family-run gem in the heart of Cefalù

On one of our first nights in Cefalù, we walked into La Brace around 8 PM, only to find the restaurant fully booked. Despite being told they were full that night and the next, we decided to book a table for the following evening—and we absolutely did not regret it.

La Brace is a family-run restaurant, with the mother in the kitchen and, we presume, the son as the waiter. Dining here felt like sitting in the living room of their family home, with a warm, inviting, and homely atmosphere. There was a bit of a wait, which was understandable since there was only one waiter, but we didn’t mind at all. We sipped on a lovely glass of house wine while soaking in the ambiance.

For dinner, we had the dish of the day—entrecôte with mushrooms—the gorgonzola pasta, and the homemade meatballs with tomato sauce. Every bite was outstanding, and we finished with sparkling clean plates. The homemade tiramisu for dessert was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal.

We highly recommend La Brace if you’re looking for a cozy, delicious meal in the heart of Cefalù. Just be sure to book in advance, as tables are in high demand!

Best meal I had during my trip to Italy. Great hospitality, nice atmosphere. Son runs the front of the house and his mother does the cooking. The stuffed rolled swordfish was the best thing I’ve ate in Italy. The house red wine and tiramisu were also excellent.

For me the highlight was the swordfish pesto pasta, it's probably the best pasta I've had so far in Sicily and I've eaten pasta every day haha! It's well priced and the atmosphere has a comfy and intimate mood as you dine. Every dish ordered was delicious so you can't go wrong. Best to book in advance or wait until their latest serving time, I went at 10:30pm and it was worth it 👌🏼
