I think this is a great location.  Nice room. Here before and after a cruise. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because when I was searching for a hotel I initially filtered "included transfers" and after booking found they do not offer transfers to port but send you a link to a provider, that I feel is pretty expensive. Front desk very helpful. Definitely join the Catalonia club (free).

Hotel great location walk everywhere very clean modern. Staff amazing. U feel like u are with family. Have never been to a hotel with staff who treats patrons like this. Walked 2 blocks to hail us cabs. Told us best restaurants how to get there told us where to go on second part of trip on coast. Can not say enough about staff and i travel a lot. Anya Adrian Simo amazing. U all deserve a raise. I wish we had such exuberant workers in USA made u feel like we were at home.

I was extremely pleased with this hotel. (And I can be a picky somebody :))  it's impeccably clean, fresh and modern.  Can we talk about how it smells??? Devine!. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed.  Lovely, but small, rooftop. My only "challenge", if you could call it that, was the lack of available staff on the rooftop area.  The front desk staff were welcoming and helpful. I would visit here without hesitation.

A great hotel in a great location.

The rooms are very clean, and quiet.

But the best part is the amazing staff especially Adam, and Karina.

They helped us many times with travel information, calling cabs, directions, and other things.

They were all very friendly, attentive, and asked us if we needed help every time we went by the front desk.

The location is ultra convenient to everything you want in Barcelona .

My only complaint was we were told that the breakfast was included so we ordered room service and enjoyed it the first morning.

The next morning we went downstairs with only 5 minutes until our tour picked us up and went to grab something quick and once my wife had already grabbed a muffin and bacon the lady asked our room number and when she checked the sheet she said it wasn’t included. I ate nothing and my wife had what she had picked up because we couldn’t spend the time needed for a full meal.

Anyways

I tired to explain this to the front desk and the gentleman said they would take care of it.

When we checked out we were charged for the room service “not a problem” and the other breakfast for a a slice of bacon and a muffin.

I didn’t argue at checkout, but was the only issue we had and it was probably just miscommunication and I would still highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel Catalonia Magdalenes was a WONDERFUL experience! The staff were extremely attentive, especially Adam and Aida. We were greeted and even had our bags brought up to our rooms by Adam himself, which was a big relief. The both of them were a big help to us with whatever we needed, whether it was restaurant recommendations or taxi requests. The rooms are comfortable and clean, with AC, and ecological/sustainable amenities provided, shower gels/conditioner/body wash in refillable bottles. The amenities provided were extremely thoughtful and useful. The pool is small, but if that isn't what you're going for specifically, it's a wonderful place to lounge and relax after you've walked through the city for most of the day. All in all, I have no complaints, and the hotel had exceeded my expectations in comparison to other experiences. Thank you!
