Lovely place. The service is great and the food is not bad. I went for the thanksgiving menu they had and it was good. Some portions are a bit small though.

Loved the courtesy goat cheese they give you. The bread was really good too but it was cold. Overall really enjoyed the experience and it’s such a nice place with great service.

Where to begin with Sonia? If you’re visiting Mexico City and feeling exhausted by the long lines outside of the hotspots, just close Google Maps Reviews and come to Sonia.

There are many places to eat good food in Mexico City. Every step of Sonia was immaculate without feeling pretentious. Inspired by the owner’s grandmother, the space feels like stepping into a family friend’s home designed by an architect (but only using found objects from their house). The staff are friendly and attentive, inviting you in and making you feel like family. Chef Edgar is running in and out of the kitchen, talking to tables and making recommendations. The food is delicious. A core of homey but inventive staples and rotating seasonal concoctions. They care. You can taste it.

I rarely leave reviews because I appreciate intentional, quiet experiences and can leave the hype. You won’t regret it.

The restaurant is super cute, and the service was excellent, the staff was very warm and welcoming.
For starter we had ceviche sierra and was super tasty we also had picadita de pulpo and was ok nothing spectacular so I recommend order something else.
For main course we order Churrasquito Emilia it was 10/10.
For dessert they had a special valentine’s option that was ok, but if I go back I will definitely order the apple pie.

Det här stället gav både min fru och mig matförgiftning. Jag är inte helt säker på vilken vara det var men vi beställde: - Rödbetor carpaccio med pistagesmör, ruccola & parmigiano - Confited fläskkotlett tacos med havsabborre mousseline, habanero chili, avokado, koriander & lök - Guajolote carnitas ( 160 g) i svart mullvad och mjöldrygekompott - Kort revbensspjäll pappardelle ( 180 g) & parmigiano - Husbröd och Atmosfären och inredningen i restaurangen är stor och servicen var stor, men tyvärr hade vi en fruktansvärd upplevelse på grund av sjukdomen som ges av maten. Jag kan lugnt säga att detta var boven bc vi kom direkt från flygplatsen och hade inte ätit något i CDMX ännu, men mindre än en timme efter måltiden var vi båda allvarligt sjuka.
