Great place! Worth the wait!

This spot is fantastic! There’s always a line to get in on the weekends, but my friend and I got seated quickly since we opted for bar seats — and we couldn’t have been happier with the choice.

The view was stunning, the wine was amazing, and the oysters were absolutely delicious. What more can you ask for? Perfect combo!

If you’re visiting, be patient with the wait — it’s definitely worth it! 🦪🍷✨

Wonderful place to eat fresh lovely fish and shellfish.
Fast, polite and attentive service.
We sat by the bar and the barmen were brilliant. The mixed fish “cacciucco” style dish was beautiful. I thought I was in Italy.
Beautiful Oysters and prawns too. A true feast of delicious seafood.
Could not have had a better lunch.
Will definitely return there.

We had the clam chowder, salad, and shrimp po’boy. The food was great, and they even split the dishes onto two separate plates when they knew we were sharing, which was a thoughtful touch. The view added to the experience, with a stunning backdrop of the Bay Bridge. My only complaint is that the restroom is located outside the restaurant, but it's not too far away.

Super popular restaurant.  Had to wait a bit in line to get seated but line moved fast.  Food overall was good and of good value for SF.  My favorite was the fried anchovies.  Everything came out super fast and wait staff was attentive.

Good food and a beautiful view. Service was nice. Oysters were fresh and tasty. Plus, you can always get dessert at one of the other shops in the Ferry Building.

Som New Englandare är det svårt att imponera på mig med musselchowder som inte kommer hemifrån. Jag var i stan på jobbkonferens en kylig, regnig dag och sugen på något varmt och tröstande. En snabb sökning ledde mig till Hog Island Oyster Co . , bara en kort promenad från mitt hotell — och fotot av deras chowder fångade omedelbart mitt öga. Det gjorde ingen besviken! Krämig, smakrik och perfekt balanserad. Och Bloody Mary? Ännu bättre. Båda är absolut måste - försöker!

Maten och Servicen var fantastisk! Vi hade ett bord utanför precis vid bukten. Vår server var vänlig och gav några förslag som fanns på menyn. Drycker var goda och starka nog. Maten kom ut snabbt och varmt. 

Jag skulle rekommendera och planerar att återbesöka.

Jag har ätit ostron över hela världen - men bara här i San Francisco kommer du att sitta på ett litet träbord och obekväm träsits för att äta små ostron för $ 4 per ostron. Sedan kommer du att betala $ 19 för ett glas vitt vin OCH sedan finns det $ 15 i särskild CA skatt (betalar för personalens medicinska politik tydligen) och lokal omsättningsskatt; sedan finns det förväntade 18 - 25% dricks du förväntas betala. Personalen är snabb och opersonlig och det finns av någon galen anledning alltid en linje, som går ner snabbt. Om du inte är alltför brydd om vad du ska betala antar jag att det är ok. Den har inte ens ett badrum så man måste lämna byggnaden och gå till färjehusets badrum som var ur funktion dagen vi åkte idag! Jösses! ! $ 90 för 12 ostron och ett glas vitt vin och bröd - du skulle aldrig komma undan med det på östkusten.

Det enda stället jag någonsin har njutit av kokta ostron, jag brukar bara göra raw. De har en meny som ändras dagligen men är alltid välsmakande. Sist jag var här var för 15 år sedan och har inte varit tillbaka i stan mycket sedan dess, men när jag återvände maten var precis så bra som jag kom ihåg och deras cocktails är läckra. Ett måste att besöka plats om du är ett skaldjur fan. Bra stämning också. Att sitta ute är väldigt trevligt men om du planerar att beställa grillade ostron är det fantastiskt att sitta i baren och se dem bli grillade framför dig.

Det här är en gammal vänteplats i färjebyggnaden. Trots sin storlek och ålder är den fortfarande bra på mat och uppmärksam service och har inte bara fallit i en turistfälla. Lokalbefolkningen äter här också. Bli inte besviken om uteborden är fulla och du sitter inne i baren. Det är lika bra om inte bättre. Även stekta ostron och Po'Boys är läckra här.

Nyskördad fisk och skaldjur, oförfalskad - skickligt tillagad, rakt in i munnen. PANG! Slå det, kan du? Behöver jag säga mer?

Maten var mycket bra! Calamari var stor och unik! Rullarna är bra surdeg som alla andra restauranger i San Francisco! MEN frågan var tjänsten. 90 % av servrarna går omkring som om de vore zombier. Hatar att säga det för jag har kommit hit sedan 1969! ! Det är bara en deprimerad stad nu. Ledsen för betyget men servicen är stor med mig. Om jag vill ha god mat kan jag laga den själv som kock.

Chockad att beställa färska flugna ostron! Kan inte bli fräschare än så! Bra raw eller kryddat! Beställde ett dussin musslor också och det var lika bra gjort! Plus ett stort urval av lokala utkast öl och viner! Intressant musselsoppa, mer av musslor i buljong än en soppa. Massor av musslor så jag kan inte klaga!

Jag var precis på Hog Island Oyster Rest. , och jag blev mycket besviken. 
Jag hade valet av 6 olika ostron, och de var alla utomordentligt små. Jag hade också 4 grillade med vitlök persilja, och de var utomordentligt stora? Och de smakade inte av varken vitlök eller persilja, mycket konstigt. 
Jag åt också musselsoppa, och den var helt smaklös. Soppan var i princip som uppvärmd grädde, och det smakade bara av - grädde. Ganska konstig upplevelse, och hypen på denna restaurang är helt obegriplig!

Det finns sååå många bättre ställen att äta i SF. Vi åt lunch. Vår erfarenhet började med en mycket självbelåten värdinna som tydligt njöt av sin gate keeper position. Onödig militant attityd. Vår server var bra, inte alltför älskvärd men artig och uppmärksam. Maten var inte bra. Vi ogillade båda våra smörgåsar. Jag åt krabbsmörgåsen med mjukt skal och brödet inte det färskaste, täckte med majonnäs och krabban var överkokt i vad som inte verkade vara den färskaste oljan. Hennes var den stekta räkan. $ 60. senare för två smörgåsar lämnade vi mycket besviken svära att aldrig återvända. Känns som en turistfälla nu. Gå till Perrys eller Water Bar! Njut av en faktisk måltid för samma $$$$

Träffade vänner för lunch här på en fredag. Anlände ca 20 minuter innan öppning och det fanns ingen linje även om en bildades bakom oss. Personalen satt oss så snart restaurangen öppnade och vi var service snabbt Faktiskt, de var lite påträngande om att fatta beslut. Vi gjorde alla beställning och matleveransen var rimlig snabb. Jag skulle säga att allt var okej men inte utsökt och skaldjursgrytan var ganska välsmakande. Priserna är typiska för SF. Atmosfären var trevlig nog också. Vi skulle sannolikt återvända någon gång i framtiden.

Maten var bra inte exceptionell. Mycket högt prissatt. Rummet var kallt och obekvämt. Jag förstår inte hypen och den långa kön för att komma in

Detta var en ”nyhet” för mig även om jag reser till San Francisco ofta! Denna plats har allt; atmosfär, matlagning erfarenhet och personal/kockar arbete och attityd! Du går in med förväntningar och du går ut och känner att du varit på precis rätt ställe! Vilket klassnummer!
