The Sandwich Room is a must-visit spot for sandwich lovers! I tried the Italiano, and it was absolutely delicious—flavorful and perfectly balanced. While the Tommy sandwich wasn’t as much to my taste due to a very intense black sauce, it was still well-made. One thing’s for sure: these sandwiches are massive, freshly baked, and more than enough to satisfy your hunger. The bread, topped with olive oil and a touch of salt, is simply divine.

In my opinion, they offer the best sandwiches in town, but there are a few things to keep in mind. The location doesn’t provide seating or even a place to stand comfortably, so be prepared to eat on the go in a busy area. The waiting time can also be long—20 to 30 minutes in line—but it’s a testament to their popularity. Additionally, there are no toilets, and in the rush, they even forgot to include tissues with our order.

I can really see why this is highly rated.
No doubt the best sandwich I've had in Italy.
I've read that some says it's overated but it's really not, but do know that this is just a sandwich, not a Michelin star restaurant.
Their bread and spreads are all made on place which contributes to the freshness of their sandwiches!
I got the Boss which is just amazing, the flavour pairings are superb.
The Dante was just spicy enough with the eggplant salad, even the leftover was amazing!
Quite a long line though even with their 2 storefronts, be ready to wait a good 30+ min.

The sandwiches were beyond amazing, feel like going back to Rome just to have them again.

The bread is out of this world, crunchy from the outside yet soft in the inside.

The ingredients used are really fresh. We ended up going back the next day before our flight for more! Highly recommend this spot.

It was busy when we went but really worth the wait.

I must note that once we told the staff member that we don’t eat pork, she made sure to tell the person making our sandwiches to triple check that our orders were done correctly. She was really nice and helpful.

We stood in a long line, but the service was moving efficiently. On the first day, we got amazing sandwiches—big and delicious. Perfect! The second day, the main location was closed, but the nearby one was open, and it was chaotic. We waited a long time. People who ordered after us got their sandwiches, and some cut the line. After 20 minutes, we got ours, but they seemed smaller and not as good as the day before. Undeterred, we ordered another sandwich at the station. This one was good again. Overall, I think they’re delicious and recommend them to everyone.

Italy has taught me to not trust reviews. The worst pasta I had in Rome was a from a 4.8⭐️ restaurant that served greasy huge portions, clearly catering to Americans. Now this meal from 3.9⭐️ Luciano was the absolute BEST meal that I had in Rome. Service was perfect. Food was incredible. Fresh ingredients. Bold flavors. True Italian food with an elevated experience. I will always come back to this place.

Chef Luciano Monosilio is known as ‘The King of Carbonara’ and if you get a peek into the kitchen where he fries up huge pans of cubed guanciale each morning, you’ll understand why. He also makes his own extruded pasta in the basement, which sets his version of this classic Roman dish apart from the rest. My plate of his signature carbonara was delicious: creamy and rich with just the right amount of thick fried cubes of crunchy guanciale. My dining companion, who’d tried many other versions across Rome, declared her cacio e pepe excellent too. Tiramisu was the clear winner in our dessert selection – perfect with an unusual local digestivo recommended by our sommelier. It was halfway between an amaro and a vermouth. We looked forward to eating at this restaurant hearing about the carbonara knowing its their best dish. We had lovely welcome from the staff.

We had a starter each, my boyfriend had pumpkin creme.

I had the raw Mince with jelly, it was new and delicious for me. Never had raw beef before.

For our main we had Carbonara and it was delicious 😋 and the poncharle was cooked perfectly with it.

We had our own puddings, one was a soft sponge with ice cream and I had chocolate with wafer biscuits and lemon jelly on top.
