Just the fact that a place like this unites so many young people and not only that, with tasty typical Tuscan dishes but with friendly service says a lot. Personally, I found the atmosphere nice, the people, the restaurant is good food even if you share the table with people you don't know, this obviously if you are not looking for a classic restaurant where you can sit in pinstripes and spend a fortune for little. Congratulations.

Outside seating was nice, service slightly hasty. The food was great! Got the penne alla bettola recommended too je which is why we went, it was lovely though a bit salty. The tiramisu was amazing!

The food is typically Tuscan. The menu changes daily depending on what’s seasonal and fresh. Initially I thought it was a little expensive looking at the menu, because I wanted to try everything. But when it turned up at the table and I saw and tasted the food I was immediately satisfied with the presentation and soon changed my mind. I had a feast I enjoyed very much.

Alla Vecchia Bettola ligger utanför turistfällan i Florens - det är absolut värt att lämna centrum och gå ut här. Vi älskade allt och möjlighet att besöka andra delar av Florens. Maten är underbar - servicen och atmosfären också. Om vi hade möjlighet och stannade längre i området, skulle vi definitivt ha gått tillbaka för en annan middag eller lunch.

Jag skulle normalt ge denna plats ett högt betyg. Vi åt här och hade en mycket god måltid. Vi hade varit här under vår senaste resa till Florens 2023 och hade en bra upplevelse. Några dagar senare bestämde min fru och jag oss för att prova take away. Min fru gick till restaurangen, gjorde beställningen och tog med maten till vår lägenhet. Hon insåg att ordern var kort. Jag rekommenderar även äppelpajen. Ett varningens ord - kom inte hit och förvänta dig ett stort urval av vegetariska alternativ. Det är ett kött - tung meny. Vi kommer definitivt att komma tillbaka.

Vi kom hit på rekommendation som den bästa pasta i Florens. Var börjar jag? Personalen var ganska ovälkomnande men hittade oss ett bord (boka i förväg om du vill äta här). Maten var bra, vinet var bra, servitörerna var vänliga och hjälpsamma. Jag återvänder till Florens med make och son i släptåg snart, och detta var en prioriterad reservation.

Utmärkt traditionell italiensk restaurang. Alltid ett bra tecken när det är fyllt med lokalbefolkningen. Plus att det rekommenderades av våra vänner som är florentiner! Servicen var stor, maten var traditionell och välsmakande (vi åt en florentinsk biff) med ett anständigt lokalt vin urval. Vi satt utanför som var mycket varmt även vid 20:00 men okej. Jag såg världen passera. Ingen utsikt som sådan men en trevlig italiensk gata att bara titta på. Rekommenderas om du vill prova lite mat som är representativ för vackra Toscana.

Restaurangen låg i hans kvarter och han tog oss. Det var trångt och livligt och menyn var bara på italienska. Men maten var fantastisk - - särskilt T - ben av pund - - och det var förmodligen min favorit restaurang upplevelse jag hade i Italien.

Due to the hospitality of everyone at Fattoria Lavacchio, our stay was nothing short of wonderful! Everyone working there was incredibly helpful and kind. Even before we arrived, they arranged transportation to and from the Pontassieve train station, and on the day we arrived it was raining so Bennedetta drove us to our building and later did research on whether a train strike was going to affect our trip. Honestly, every person we encountered such as Valentina at breakfast, was friendly and ready to help with a smile. The property itself is stunning, surrounded by rolling vineyards and olive trees that add to the peaceful, scenic atmosphere. We loved the organic approach they take—fruits, vegetables, wine and olive oil from their land were served in their dining room - making every meal feel authentic and fresh. There is also a sandwich shop on the property that makes the most delicious “build your own” sandwiches and the woman working that day gave us honest, good advice on how to build a delicious sandwich.

The activities were a highlight of our stay; the wine tasting with Tatsu and cooking class with Enrico and Franchesca were both fantastic, informative and entertaining! We learned so much about the property’s wine and pasta making. We only wished we could have participated in the olive oil testing and truffle hunting (which were not available during our stay but we heard they are also fabulous). Since we were there in late October, the pool was closed for the season.

We stayed in a deluxe suite (apartment) in a separate building; though rustic, it was clean and had great views. If you’re looking for a unique, memorable experience in Tuscany, we highly recommend Fattoria Lavacchio!

A lovely trip ruined by useless customer support. I accidentally forgot some earbuds in my room at checkout. I had called and confirmed within hours of leaving that the accommodation had them and they said they could send them to me. Every email / call after this was a battle to get any response. It's been 4 months now, they were never sent, the communication is still awful and last I heard they lost the item.

One of the most picturesque accomodations we've stayed in, the location is just stunning. The rooms are beautiful and spacious (except the bathroom), the pool area is really big with lots of sun chairs and umbrellas and the breakfast was amazing!

Unfortunately a big negative for us was the sound insulation was very poor between levels. We had pretty average sleeps because we could hear every footstep from the people above us. Do not book a room here unless you're on the top floor.

The wifi is absolutely terrible, even after they upgraded the system. We were unable to get internet at least half the time we were there. They will tell you it works better in some parts but its just bad all over really, and everyone there had the same complaint. The aircon digital remote did not have a cooling function either, so be prepared to sweat in the summer months.

The ladies at breakfast were amazing - especially Agnesa, however some of the staff at the front desk weren't very forthcoming in providing critical information when booking activities linked to the accommodation.

Don't count on the poolside bar being open either - Despite the website saying it's open from 1st May. We were told it was closed then 10 mins later a group of staff from the property were all there drinking coffee from the bar and being loud - disturbing people by the pool who were reading and sleeping.

This place has amazing reviews, so maybe our experience was an outlier, but unfortunately it did not live up to expectations for us.

We found this place accidentally and fall in Love with it. Magic nature place, perfect to rest out of the city. Their local wine is amazing and the restaurant is another level of food experience.
