What a collection! I absolutely love this place. There is so much to see and experience, so make sure to give yourself AT LEAST 4 hours to take in all they have to offer. Their collection is very impressive, and we really enjoyed seeing so many famous works of art. We also found some new artists that we like! Add this place to your NYC list!

MoMA is an intriguing museum with an extensive collection, offering something for everyone. Despite the large number of visitors, the museum never feels overcrowded due to its size and numerous galleries, allowing for a comfortable viewing experience.

When it comes to the individual works of art, everyone will have their own unique interpretations, and it’s something best experienced personally.

As a whole, I highly recommend this museum to anyone visiting New York City.

This is a great museum worth visiting in NYC. With so many museums, it is hard to choose which one you should check out if you are limited for time. This should definitely make your top 5. Lots of interesting exhibits and activities for patrons of all ages.

If you are around on 1st Fridays, there is an evening event from 4pm-8pm.

A must visit if in NYC. Different approach to collections in comparison to European museums. You will find a piece or two of most of the important artists.

I would recommend a good few hours to soak in the art as it can be quite busy.

A must visit in NY! If you love modern art this place is for you!! I spent hours here ! It’s so much to see and do . I was able to see Van Gogh’s Starry Nights. Based on previous reviews I wasn’t sure if it would still be there but it was !! Also this place is 5/6 floors. I did not realize initially going ! That was quite a treat .

Vi hade en härlig kväll på denna restaurang och ärligt talat kan inte tro att det inte är rave om oftare, särskilt som en 2-stjärnigt. Från början till slut var hela upplevelsen stor. 

Särskilt vinprogrammet förtjänar att uppmärksammas. Jenna, sommelieren (ursprungligen från Kalifornien, om jag minns hennes namn rätt hoppas jag) , var fenomenal. Hon rekommenderade inte bara viner, hon tog sig tid att prata igenom urvalen, förklara parningarna och guida oss mot vin som kompletterade våra rätter perfekt. Hennes kunskaper var imponerande, men det som stod ut ännu mer var hur tillgänglig och genuin hon var. Ibland kan Servicen kännas stel, men Jennas entusiasm och ner - till - jordens personlighet gjorde det roligt, engagerande och verkligen adderade till kvällen. 
Vår server var lika underbar, varm, vänlig och uppmärksam utan att någonsin vara overbearing. Hon hade en naturlig lätthet, och det var tydligt att hon verkligen brydde sig om att se till att vi hade roligt. Den stödjande serveringspersonalen spelade också en stor roll i den sömlösa Servicen och hjälpte till snabbt och omtänksamt när det behövdes. 

När det gäller maten presenterades varje rätt snyggt och mestadels alla mycket smakrika. Varje rätt kändes noggrant tillagad, och när den parades ihop med de viner som Jenna (hoppas verkligen att hon heter så! ) föreslog, blev smakerna verkligen levande. Det är ovanligt att hitta en plats där maten, vinet och Servicen är i harmoni, men den här restaurangen levererade. 

Vi ser redan fram emot att återkomma och rekommendera det, oavsett om du firar något speciellt eller bara vill ha en kväll med god mat och vin i en Välkomnande atmosfär.

Måltiden på The Modern är överdådig och utsökt. Servicen är lite tony men definitivt vänlig. Priset? Dyrt! Men värt vartenda öre. Vi åker tillbaka igen.

Jag älskar det här stället. Den har allt. Enastående mat. . . kreativitet, presentation och helt utsökt. Det är en härlig restaurang och inte kvav eller pretentiös. Deras restaurangvecka är absolut bäst. Jag vill definitivt uppmärksamma deras lysande personal. Mina personliga favoriter är Casey, Katherine och Arantza! Jag hoppas att ledningen inser vilken talang de har.

Vi åt lunch med ett annat par på The Modern i tisdags. Det var en fantastisk upplevelse. Restaurangen ligger bredvid Moderna konstmuseet. Det är en Danny Meyer restaurang, som möjligen är New Yorks mest kända restauranteur. Den har två Michelinstjärnor. 

Restaurangen har två avdelningar, tekniskt tre. Vi satt i baren på The Modern. Bakom en vägg finns huvudrestaurangen. Det skiljer sig genom tillägg som vita dukar. Jag har förstått att det finns ett tredje område, en restaurang för avsmakningsmenyer i centrum av händelserna i köket. 

Vi var fyra stycken. Det andra paret visste mycket mer om vin än oss, så vi sköt upp till dem för vinval. De valde klokt nog spanska viner. V 8 r listan är ca 150 + sidor lång. (Den finns tillgänglig online. ) . Är du ett fan av franska viner som vi finns det få viner som har mindre än tre siffror till vänster om decimaltecknet. 

Vi började med en vit, som var från listan vid glaset. Vår server tog med en tallrik skivad bläckfisk t 9 bordet som en nöjesbuche. De tog med sig bröd och smör och tog med sig ett separat urval för en matgäst som var glutenintolerant. 

Jag började med en tunnbrödsgrillad tårta, skuren i fyra bitar. Det var $ 19 och var en storlek som kunde delas. Min förrätt var marulk, som var över mos, vad jag minns. Det var 39 dollar. Det var ganska bra. 

Alla andra verkade nöjda med sina val. Vår server erbjöd ett urval av kolsyrat eller stillastående vatten, som fylldes på under måltiden. Det fanns ingen avgift. 

Vi beställde inte dessert, men apelsingeléer presenterades i slutet av måltiden. 

Det var en bra upplevelse överlag. Finns det negativa? Lunch för två (vår andel) var ca $ 240. Detta är dock en Michelin två stjärniga restaurang och vi är i Midtown Manhattan.

Första ordet man kommer att tänka på när man sammanfattar natten är ”ansträngning”. Personalen var alla mycket lyhörda utan att känna sig överbelastande, och allt gjordes med en hög uppmärksamhet på detaljer, särskilt pläteringen. Mycket tillmötesgående av en vegansk kost och andra preferenser. Maten var härlig — min allätare partner tyckte att de tidiga rätterna var de bästa, medan jag tyckte att förrätterna var enastående. Men vi älskade båda den andra rätten — grön sparris och avokado marinerad med engelska ärtor och basilika. Å andra sidan var desserten lite rik, men det är kvällens enda betänklighet.

Herregud. Vilken reataurant! Utmärkt och mycket effektiv service. 

Maten är utsökt. Vi var 5 och hade många kombinationer av en 3-rätters måltid. Portioner är små och läckra 

Dyrt men måste bort!

Det här är andra gången vi äter lunch på Modern; vi har sett fram emot ett helt år sedan vi åt där förra året. Smakerna är kreativa och underbara och servicen är härlig (tack Hope). Inställningen är ljus och välkomnande också. Vi planerar redan att äta där på vår nästa resa om ett år.

Fantastisk atmosfär, bra mat och serviceteamet var roligt, professionellt och kunnigt. Hope kommer att ha turen att återvända i framtiden

Vänligen se bilder och bestämma själv om detta är $ 250 provsmakning Michelin vegetarisk meny värdig. Jag gick nöjd men inte alls mätt. 

Service: oklanderlig oklanderlig med känsla för detaljer, leenden, förväntan och hjälpsamhet

Mat: många variationer på svamp och sparris (måste vara årstiden) med olika rätter, den nedslående desserträtten var en besvikelse enda smulad bit cheesecake med glass arrangerad i en halvcirkel; endast en skiva flerkornigt bröd erbjuds med otroligt jäst smör, och vackra tallrikar

Atmosfär: var medveten om att under vintermånaderna borden intill, och vidrör, fönstren är otroligt dragiga, både utifrån och från ovan luftkonditionering; kanske erbjuda filtar på soffor och de stolar som kantar fönsterbordens säten.

Detta var en 2 Michelin stjärna och exceptionellt dyr restaurang för ett speciellt tillfälle för min man och jag, som vi besökte New York. 

Men vinet (över $ 500 ) öppnades bort från bordet och fördes till oss redan öppnat. Vi bad om att få se korken, men jag är inte säker på att det var originalet från flaskan. 

Detta sätt att öppna viner är ett absolut nej nej, vi bad om att det skulle dekanteras - av sommelierens reaktion skulle man kunna tro att vi bad om en ny flaska!

Vi stannade till för en snabb lunch på en söndag eftermiddag. Maten var utsökt (jag åt tomatsoppa med krabbkött - mums! ) . Matsalen är härlig med sittplatser som har utsikt över en privat trädgård - inte den bästa utsikten i januari men jag kan tänka mig att det är fantastiskt under andra årstider. Rekommenderar starkt.

En av de bästa restaurangerna i NY och inbäddat i MOMA. Varje rätt är kreativ och välsmakande, med sticker ut som ägg - på - ägg - på - ägg. Tjänsten är också top notch. Och den luftiga växthusatmosfären skadar inte

Vi hade menyn "Impressions" med vinparningen. Vi tyckte att var och en av rätterna var bland den bästa maten vi någonsin ätit. Vinparningen var utmärkt och helt klart vägen att gå. 5 ganska olika viner, var och en perfekt för den kurs den åtföljde. Vi skulle aldrig ha plockat någon av dem på egen hand, och jämfört med att köpa en flaska vin från vinlistan var det en ganska bra affär. Det fanns gott om mat och vin. Åtminstone för oss verkade det som om den dyrare "Abstraktioner" menyn skulle ha varit för mycket mat och för mycket vin. 
Servicen var oklanderlig från början till slut, som man kan förvänta sig på en restaurang av denna kaliber. Mycket effektiv (även om vår måltid varade minst 2 timmar) och hjärtlig, men fortfarande ganska formell, som man kan förvänta sig. Sommelieren var kanske den mest pratglada av alla, eftersom hon förklarade alla vinerna. 
The Modern är väl värt sin 2-stjärniga klassning Michelin. 
På den negativa sidan, rummet i sig är mycket, ja, "modern" och kall känsla... inte mysig alls, även om det i varmt väder kan ha en annan känsla till det när man tittar ut på skulptur trädgården. Och vinlistan, även om den är omfattande och ganska extraordinär, är mycket dyr. Jag har svårt att motivera att jag betalar 4-5 X över detaljhandeln för en flaska vin på en restaurang som jag har i min källare hemma. Det driver dig till vinparningen, vilket verkar vara en mycket bättre affär än att köpa en flaska vin från vinlistan . . . då vet du åtminstone inte påslaget på vad du dricker. 
Men åsido, jag skulle gärna komma tillbaka till The Modern igen. En fantastisk måltid och en restaurang upplevelse.

Miljön är mer som en cafeteria matsal än en fin Michelin ** restaurang. Högt och frenetiskt. Bord och stolar är industriella i design och komfort. Mattan var smutsig. Maten var genomsnittlig i kvalitet och långt under genomsnittet i sak. 2 tunna skivor av ett ankbröst tillhandahölls till förrätten. Mitt i förrätten dukade servitrisen fram en hel teservering. Jag frågade om teet var en del av Ankan - som någon slags bisarr kombination. Hon frågade om jag inte beställde teet. När jag svarade att jag inte visste någonting om teet, tog hon genast bort tekoppen/tefatet, vattenkokaren, sockerskålen och mjölkkannan. Jag kan inte förstå hur de fick och upprätthöll en 2:a Michelin*.

Vi älskade denna bar - mycket i linje med The Modern POV, drycker och matutbud var både riktigt bra. 
Kul att vi råkade vara där den 10 / 31 och det var flera kostymerade gäster som var närvarande på MOMA eventet som dök upp. 
Vi kommer tillbaka nästa gång vi är i staden!

Terrace 5

Vi bestämde oss för att kontrollera denna nya Terrace 5 Bar och var helt besviken. Denna person på en bild (som ska vara en värd) måste sparkas så fort som möjligt. Han var extremt oförskämd, otålig, oprofessionell och såg verkligen olycklig ut. Han kunde inte ens svara på våra frågor och vi var tvungna att lämna omedelbart på grund av hans beteende. Han borde jobba någonstans i fängelset med sånt här beteende inte på det exklusiva kaféet i Moma. Hemsk upplevelse! Undvik till varje pris om du inte vill förstöra din dag!

Började vår rundtur i MOMA på eftermiddagen vi snubblade på detta café område av en slump. Maten var utsökt servicen utmärkt och utsikten enastående. På grund av brist på vatten till området finns det inga varma drycker men en kall brygd räcker

Vi älskade hela platsen, kom med familjen och vi var alla överens om att det bästa var alternativen för öknar. Vi kommer tillbaka

Servitören var mycket uppmärksam och hade goda tips om vilken mat som skulle uppfylla mina strävanden om tiden. Små portioner skulle inte sova dig och blomkålen och pumpasoppan var väldigt smakfull. Pinot Noir som odlats i NY State och citronkaka fullbordade den effektiva måltiden till perfektion.

Det var bra att kunna ta en paus från modern konst för att äta lunch. Det är en väntan på att få ett bord. Platsen trevlig och servrarna är professionella. Maten är dyr. $ 20 - $ 30 för en entree. Trevlig tid, med en Cliff Bar.

En utmärkt hummerrulle med en läcker mjölfri chokladkaka för att klara av det. Bekvämt som det är i museet med en fin utsikt över gården om du kan få en plats utanför. Priserna är som förväntat för en museumsrestaurang.

Det är en bra plats för en avkopplande semester. Vi ville ha ett bord på utomhus terrassen och när du sitter, fråga bara att vänta tills man blir tillgänglig. För oss var det bara ett par minuter, även om det var väldigt upptagen.
Maten var riktigt bra och du får en fantastisk utsikt över balkongen.

Beläget i MoMA med utsikt över skulpturträdgården med inomhus och utomhus sittplatser. Ljus modern atmosfär, uppmärksam och trevlig personal, en okomplicerad meny, utmärkt förberedelse och vacker presentation kombinerar alla här.

En trevlig terrass café på 5: e våningen i MOMA. Fredlig och bort från massorna. Begränsad meny men

Under vår senaste vecka i New York besökte vi MoMA och hade den bästa lunchen på Terrace 5-restaurangen. Terrassen själv var stängd på grund av förberedelser för en speciell händelse, men bortsett från det var allt perfekt. Frances, vår underbara server, var vänliga och effektiva. Utan att bli frågad, tog hon vår enda beställning av potatis och purjisoppa i två skålar, var och en vackert garnerad. En mycket tankeväckande gest. Och tro mig, delstorleken var stor nog att dela! Vi älskade cheddaren och krispiga quinoa som ströks ovanpå, och den konstnärliga dysen av gräslökolja. En sidoposition av nystekt rostat focaccia bröd för en perfekt lätt lunch. Latt var perfekt också.
Klockan 11: 00 på en fredag ​​var restaurangen tyst. Vi hade vårt val av platser och hade ursprungligen tänkt att ha lite kaffe och spara lunch för senare. Men när stämningen visade sig vara så trevlig beslutade vi att stanna och ha en tidig lunch. Vi är glada att vi gjorde det. Min man och jag hade lunch på terrassen 5 under den senaste veckan i mars efter flera timmar av att växa fram oss i en fantastisk konst. Det var mitt på eftermiddagen men restaurangen var fortfarande ganska upptagen. Vi var omedelbart sittande och fick lika snabb bordservice. Menyn var inte alltför omfattande men hade en trevlig mängd innovativa rätter. Min man hade en lax rillette och jag en squash soppa att dö för. Under tiden kunde vi blicka ut de närliggande stora glasrutorna med utsikt över en fascinerande bordau i mitten av arkitekturen, vilket blev lite dramatiserat av molnigt. Allt som allt mest
tillfredsställande kultur och matupplevelse.

Detta tredje museum på tre dagar. Mina hundar var ömma, min ande svag. Vi behövde en vila och terrassen på 5 var den perfekta platsen. Ingen väntan på en lördagseftermiddag, en uppfriskande libation, och ja, lemonaden är enastående. Personalen var stor och medan det är dyrt, är det bara att köpa en öl på ett basketspel?

Mitt i ett besök på MOMA, vilken stor överraskning har det varit att hitta denna caf!
När vi checkar in väntade vi den vanliga sorts plats där du äter snabb, lågkvalitativ mat.
Men här är det annorlunda: mycket vänlig och effektiv personal med stor uppmärksamhet på detaljerna, en riktigt bra mat av högkvalitativa ingredienser perfekt kombinerat tillsammans.

Vår fantastiska servitör, Nery, föreslog att 4 av oss delar 2 squash soppor och pojke var vi glada vi gjorde, för att vissa super utsökta mat borde savored snarare än chowed-down. Alla andra portioner, kort revben smörgås, arugula betor sallad, kyckling med sallad var alla läckra och vackert presenteras. Det var en minnesvärd måltid. Tips: ta en paus från det underbara museet visar och slå publiken klockan 11:30. Även museumsmedlemmar får 10% rabatt.

Besökte MoMA och behövde en bit att äta. Vi valde terrassen även om det hade en mer begränsad meny eftersom vi också fick veta det hade bättre utsikt. Uteserveringen förbises utomhusytan och hade en härlig utsikt. Maten var ganska välsmakande också. Delarna var på mindre sida men smakerna var stora. Vi hade Melon och Quinoa sallad, Banh Mi och Lax Rillete. Tjänsten var mycket bra. Jag skulle återvända hit till lunch när du besöker museet.
