The front desk host was extremely rude. I made the reservation 10 days in advance for a Thursday. In the notes, I requested a table by the window (it was my birthday, and I wanted it to be special), and a week before, I called to confirm the table with a window view.
I arrived 15 minutes early, and the host treated us with hostility and reluctance. The restaurant was empty (there were at most three occupied tables), yet she made us wait 30 minutes to seat us in a corner far from the windows. I kindly asked if it would be possible to sit somewhere else, explaining that I had requested something special for my birthday. She rolled her eyes and, without saying a word, snatched the menu from my hand and placed it on another table, which we assumed meant she was moving us.

The food was very good, though the pizza was cold, but we didn’t feel comfortable saying anything because the staff looked angry and hostile, providing very mediocre service. (I’ve worked as a server, barista, and bartender, so I empathize and understand how tough these roles are, but this attitude was unacceptable.)

I do have to say that the place is beautiful, and the dessert was delicious. They give me a candle for my birthday, which was a thoughtful gesture that cheered me up after such poor treatment from the host.

It’s a shame that such a beautiful place hires people who are so rude, hostile, and unfriendly.

the interior of the place is really nice and the views of the bridge are incredible. I was lucky they were able to accommodate me as one of the last reservations for the night. I will say it’s pretty dark in there at night and the little light or candle on the table is not enough. I ordered the rigatoni and felt it was a bit too salty.

This place has the most beautiful view in Dumbo. It’s at Time Out Market, so it may be a crowd. We were able to walk in and get bar seats no problem. The bartender was ok. A little condescending in the service. The food was bland, but this is high tourist traffic, so it’s a given to not have a lot of seasoning in the food. But you’re not here for delicious food, you come for delicious views.

Cecconi’s is an amazing restaurant! I went here for my sweet 16th birthday yesterday and they reserved our table a few minutes early when I walked in, and they allowed us to sit outside. The atmosphere was blessingly beautiful by the bridge which was really appealing. I had a table of 6 with me and we ate good with a fair price. The waiter was also very kind and checked on us a couple times, and remembering individually our orders per person at the table. The food was very delicious, the calamari was the best that my friends liked, as well as the pizza was very delicious. The zucchini fries were also a hit since they had a big portion of them for that price they had. The drinks were very nice as well as it had real fruit juice in them, I got the La Dolca Vita and it was very refreshing. And finally for the desserts they were a big size, and I got a candle lit up for my birthday which was very nice of them. They also gave me another portion of ice cream, and they packed the take out home for each of us individually. The staff came around to check on us a few times to see if we were doing well. Overall, this restaurant made a huge difference and it was comfortable to sit around with friends and the food was the most delicious they ever had there :) ❤️

Atmosphere was amazing and food was tasty. Service was just odd and I believe it was only our server. He did not come to our table ask anything and we had to tell other servers to take care of us. Overall was great experience.
