Ich hatte das Vergnügen, in diesem Seafood-Restaurant in Schweden zu essen, und es war eine Erfahrung, die ich so schnell nicht vergessen werde. Dass das Restaurant nach nur zehn Monaten schon einen Stern bekommen hat, ist wirklich beeindruckend und absolut verdient.

Obwohl ich schon in mehreren Sternerestaurants gewesen bin, habe ich mich hier besonders wohlgefühlt. Das Ambiente war entspannt und ungezwungen, trotz des hohen Niveaus. Es gab viele feine Details, die an die Sternegastronomie erinnern, aber es war dennoch alles angenehm locker. Besonders für Leute, die noch keine Erfahrung mit gehobener Küche haben, ist dieses Restaurant perfekt – man wird gut an die Hand genommen und durch den Abend begleitet.

Das Menü mit 17 Gängen war einfach klasse! Jeder Gang war ein kleines Kunstwerk, und man hat gemerkt, wie viel Herzblut dahintersteckt. Ich habe mich für die alkoholfreie Getränkebegleitung entschieden und war begeistert, wie gut sie zu den Gerichten gepasst hat. Das war eine echte Überraschung, weil ich finde, dass jeder einfach eine Flasche Wein aufmachen kann, aber hier wurde wirklich etwas Besonderes geboten.

Die Erklärungen zu den Gerichten und den verwendeten Produkten waren super interessant und haben das Erlebnis noch intensiver gemacht.

Am Ende des Abends wollte ich mir am liebsten gar nicht die Zähne putzen, um den Geschmack so lange wie möglich im Mund zu behalten. Es war fast schon traurig zu wissen, dass das Frühstück die nächste Mahlzeit sein würde.

Insgesamt ein tolles Erlebnis, und ich freue mich schon darauf, wiederzukommen!

I had the pleasure of eating at this seafood restaurant in Sweden and it was an experience I won't soon forget. The fact that the restaurant has already received a star after just ten months is really impressive and absolutely deserved.

Although I have already been to several starred restaurants, I felt particularly comfortable here. The atmosphere was relaxed and informal, despite the high standard. There were many fine details reminiscent of star-rated gastronomy, but everything was still pleasantly relaxed. This restaurant is particularly perfect for people who have no experience with fine dining - you will be taken by the hand and accompanied throughout the evening.

The 17-course menu was simply great! Every course was a little work of art, and you could tell how much passion went into it. I chose the non-alcoholic drink accompaniment and was amazed at how well it went with the dishes. This was a real surprise because I think anyone can just open a bottle of wine, but this really was something special.

The explanations of the dishes and the products used were super interesting and made the experience even more intense.

At the end of the evening I wanted to avoid brushing my teeth so I could keep the taste in my mouth as long as possible. It was almost sad to know that breakfast would be the next meal.

Overall, a great experience and I look forward to coming back!

Out of 100+ places I’ve been to in Stockholm alone so far, this is the best one.
Fantastic atmosphere of a rustic kitchen, you can feel how people love what they’re doing. Great and attentive personnel which is super rare in this city. Menu is dynamic and creative, wine list almost fully French, but spectacular (though wines by the glass are few). Food is delicious, portions are so big, 4 dishes were too much for two people and we couldn’t fit dessert, unfortunately, so have to come back (with pleasure)!

Wonderful atmosphere. We happened to meet owner Joel Aronsson at an event held for Svenkst Tenn. one thing led to another and my wife and I were invited to Bord. You know right away from his grin that Joel loves what he does. You really cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. You might think you know what you’re ordering, but something even better arrives! My favorite part of the night was the the langoustines dish, the most tender mellow flavors. The Monk fish was another highlight. Not to be left out, we shared the tarte tatin, apples from his fiancés mother’s garden, as well as the flowers that are in my photos. Definitely call ahead! Worth every minute, highly recommend.

We had an unforgettable dining experience at Bord. Not only was it the absolute highlight of our entire trip to Stockholm, but all three of us (from Frankfurt, Tokyo and Taiwan) agreed that this was hands down one of the best in recent memory. Bord was booked for my first dinner in Stockholm. I was incredibly excited to kick start my time in Stockholm with a restaurant that was known to offer a great experience.

Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t what I expected. The food generally was tasty but some of the dishes lacked flavour. They weren’t always paired very well despite the waiter explaining that he will bring the dishes out in an order which compliments each other the best.

My biggest issue was the service. We were served our first dish and then the second dish didn’t come out to us for a very long time. It got a little awkward as we saw our neighbouring tables see 2 or even 3 dishes come out before our second did. The waiter did gently come over and explain that they’ve accidentally given our dishes to the table next to us and apologised. I appreciated the apology and I understand these things happen so wouldn’t really complain but the poor service continued.

When being served lobster, we noticed neighbouring tables were given wet wipes and we had to ask for ours which is just a little annoying when your hands are covered in the sauces from the lobster. Water was also given once prompted that it had finished and wasn’t automatically topped up. My alcoholic drink was removed from my table twice and I had to quickly stop the waiter and explain that I was still drinking it.

Wine pairings are available in 2 levels at roughly 2900 and 6500 Sek, there is also a mixed wine and non alcoholic pairing as well as a non alcoholic pairing. The non alcoholic pairings are also incredible.(we did the lower tier wine pairing and the mixed pairing)
