It sounds like you had a mixed experience at the shop. A 3 for the food due to its difficulty to eat might be a concern if you were looking forward to a comfortable meal. Not knowing if they have a microwave can certainly add to that uncertainty. On top of that, a non-smiling service desk lady might give the impression that the customer service wasn't the best, but it's understandable that she could have been working all day.

On the bright side, giving a 5 for the shop's location in the park suggests that the setting is lovely and enjoyable. It's always nice when a place is situated in a beautiful spot. If you plan to go back, maybe you could ask about the microwave situation or try another dish that might be easier to handle.

Came with family after experiencing the guard changing ceremony at Buckingham Palace. Got a good seating area, the staff were friendly and the service was great. We ordered fish and chips and it was amazing. Will definitely recommend this place ❤️

This is a cafe on the north side of the lake in St. James park. Opening hours are 8am to 6pm daily and there is a large indoor seating area along with outside tables. You can order at the counter or by way of barcode you will find at the tables. Menu is a wide selection of sweet and savoury orders along with a fairly typical range of drinks.

I recently took a rest break here and was served a good order of sweet potato fries and a coffee. Prices are reasonable, service fast. Its a good location for a drink or bite to eat break while exploring the park.

Big indoor cafe, with plenty of seating. The coffee is good and there are plenty of vegetarian options for breakfast/lunch, with good portion sizes. It was busy because it was a Saturday, but we didn't wait that long for the food to arrive. Good place to warm up after a cold winter morning walk in the park.
