No notes (ok maybe a few for the sake of Google reviews). Dinner at Dunsmoor was the best meal I’ve had of the year so far. Beautiful space, warm ambiance, impeccable service, friendly community and exceptional food. Everything feels like it’s imbued with elevated comfort (without being stuffy). I find it rarer and rarer nowadays for restaurants to perfectly tow the line of exceptional food and even better service. It is a dying art, but Dunsmoor overdelivers and fires across all cylinders. We sat at the counter, which I highly recommend, but no need for a sweater since both hearths will keep you warm. Our dinner order started off with the baby albacore crudo, followed by the country pork terrine, Edna’s sour milk cornbread (a must), Kobe beef tartare, and the 32oz beef ribeye with smoked bone marrow (also a must). We didn’t have room for dessert, which I was completely fine with because of how each of the savory options blew us away. The real pièce de résistance is the beef ribeye. I’ve had several terrific ribeyes across the city, but this one is my favorite to date, bar none. I can’t wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Great meal here.  Service was fantastic.  Warmly welcomed by the staff.  Our waitress could not have been more helpful with the menu.  Food was outstanding.  Started with the baby albacore - great dish.  Bay scallops - delicious.  Signature corn bread - very tasty but a bit too sweet for my taste.  Pork chop - outstanding, as good as a pork chop can be.  Side of greens - good as expect.  Delicious wines by the glass.

I asked for the best restaurant in LA, and Dunsmoor was the answer. The service and food were undoubtedly exceptional. This was an amazing gem in Glassell Park, and reservations need to be made in advance. We went early for walk in and were lucky enough to be eventually offered a seat! We hung out by the bar and had appetizers and eventually made our way to the main restaurant to experience the rib eye. Everything was so delectable. I’m already planning my next visit! My favorites were the cornbread, tuna toast, and obviously the rib eye and mashed potatoes!!!

A piece of advice, if you make it to the bar.. get the burger before it’s too late. They only make a limited amount per day. My only regret…

Really comforting food. Loved the scallops for their perfect sear and tasty sweet potato pure. Corn bread was very cake-like and had a nice medium inside that felt like a pudding. Pork chops and potatoes were also nice. Killed chicories were a hit too killed for me—burned. And I tend to like seared, blackened food. Apple pie was perfect. Overall, delicious meal.

This place was outstanding! The atmosphere was beautiful. The building is beautiful and the service was beautiful. You are greeted by the nicest, hostess and servers. They explain everything and how it works. and the food is no short of spectacular. Everything is cooked by fire in the hearth. They have no Modern technology in the kitchen. Everything is made done by hand and you can tell by how the food tastes. I had the pickled clams, the corn bread, the beef cheek open face sandwich, the Pork Chop and the Sunchokes which I’ve never had before, and absolutely loved! I would say that the only bad thing about this place is that it was hard to get to from where I was coming from. Drove for an hour and 45 mins to get there. But it’s worth every minute. If you have a chance check this place out you won’t regret it.
