Home of the original chopped cheese. For only $8! I was super excited to try this sandwich and it didn’t disappoint!  This is a NYC staple. The beef, cheese and onion come together in a juicy combination. lettuce, tomato, mayo and ketchup all loaded into a delicious hoagie bread that is deliciously crunchy and soft at the same time. They serve food until around 2am. This is a must try. Thank you for the delicious meal.

I’ve had a bunch of chop cheeses from different bodegas on various visits to the city, this one is the first one I ever had and by far the best without a doubt! I take mine with onions, lite ketchup and mayo on a hero perfectly melted perfectly toasted. Quick in and out and only $8.00! Stick with the original and you can’t go wrong, thanks Hajji!

Had to try a chopped cheese where it all began. The sandwiches were very good as was the service.  Had better, but had to go to the original spot. FYI. The store sign no longer says Blue Sky Deli. It still says Chopped Cheese Delicious and Famous Chopped Cheese. A typical bodega with good food. Would go back again when I’m the area.

An absolutely perfect chopped cheese. Makes sense since they created the original and haven't changed recipes. I recommend you get with everything on a hero along with double patties! I usually don't like onions in any food but it is perfect in this as they are soft and add a lot of flavor to the sandwich. Wait time can be a bit long depending on the time of day but absolutely worth it.
