This was recommended to us by the Swedish 🇸🇪 Milatry and was my first time at a Ski ⛷️ resort. The whole place looks a setting from a 70s Bond film and on Booking.com the rooms were only £60 a night.
Great drinks and food and everything is so reasonably priced. I would recommend going in January or February to enjoy what a Swedish 🇸🇪 winter has to offer.

It is not the first time we stay at this hotel, but this time was definitely the last time. We gave it another chance but the staff were not very friendly at all especially the hovmästare / head waitress! It's the 2nd time we've encountered her and her sheer rudeness and lack of customer service is really disappointing. In addition, the food quality is quite mediocre and the value for the money really is not there. The beds were quite comfortable, however for 200€ a night, the room was really small and there was no airflow - it was extremely hot and we could not sleep even with the window open. The spa is nice but it is not very sanitary, some areas were really slippery because of the grime and slime and in some areas where the drains are, there was a bad smell and left over waste such as snus and trash.

The hotel has a wonderful location with a splendid view. The room was clean and the beds comfortable.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning was very noisy. I'm sound sensitive with tinnitus, and would prefer a stifling room to a noisy one. It would be great if it was possible to turn off the air conditioning.

The summer buffet was lovely and the hamburger in the bistro menu was ok. The serving staff was quite nice, but it varied a bit. I loved the breakfast buffet, even though I personally think that it could have been served until 11 a.m. during summer months, a night owl as I am. Also, the hotel states that they care about the environment. In that case, skip the small plastic butter packages and serve all the butter from a bowl or similar.

I really liked the spa, even though the cold pool could have been cooler and the sauna hotter. I still don't understand how to lock the locker though. I had to have my room key in my bath robe.

But overall, it's the best spa I ever been to.
