We chose this hotel because we have found Fairmont properties (our home base is the iconic Fairmont San Francisco)  are consistent with cleanliness, aesthetics and service.
The Fairmont Chicago Millennium Park is in the perfect location- walkable to museums, the river, the magnificent mile and more.
The staff is what makes this hotel top notch. Everyone was incredibly welcoming and treated us like family. If there was an issue- it was immediately resolved.
Definitely upgrade to Fairmont Gold. The rooms are updated and the lounge access has gorgeous views of the city. The lounge breakfast and bites throughout the day are great.

Pros:
I loved that there was a tea kettle and multiple tea options in the room, as I love tea and most hotels just provide coffee.  The bed was comfortable, room was spacious, and the bathroom was huge! I loved the separate tub and showers. The fitness center is very nice and great condition. The location is right by Millennium park, which was nice.

Cons:
The carpets were dirty and I could see visible hair on the floor.  Hair that was not my color so I know it was a previous guests' hair, which felt very unsanitary. Also, we did not receive a warm welcome from the front desk at all and it started our trip on a sour note. The restaurant struggled a lot with the $15 daily credit from the hotel. Multiple servers were confused on how to apply the credit and did not know what we were talking about. The urban experience fee overall felt mostly like a scam as it costs $25 per day and we really didn't get much benefit out of it. I wish this fee was optional as it truly was a waste of money. Microwaves and mini fridges for the room have to be requested, and the hotel had run out, so there was literally no way to store my food or heat it up.  At a minimum, the hotel should at least have a microwave in the lobby for guests to use.  This was a huge disappointment. Remove the useless overpriced mini bar filled with alcohol and replace it with a fridge and microwave in the room that guests can actually use.

This is a great place to stay in downtown. The room was clean and spacious, with a firm but comfortable bed and a lovely view from the large window. Service was excellent throughout our stay.

The area offers plenty of restaurants and small markets for convenience. The conference space was well-equipped, supported by an outstanding audio-visual team. The food was delicious and served promptly by a friendly staff.

Overall, a very good experience!

I had an excellent experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others. My sister celebrated her 21st birthday over St. Patrick’s Day weekend, and we decided to visit Chicago to see the river dyed green. As a Marriott Platinum Elite and Hilton Gold member, I typically stay within those brands, but I found a great deal on this hotel in the perfect location.

In my haste, I accidentally booked two rooms with king beds instead of one king room and one with two beds. When I contacted the front desk, they were incredibly helpful and quickly accommodated my request at no additional charge—despite the error being entirely my fault. Their customer service truly exceeded my expectations, especially since I do not have loyalty status with this hotel.

Additionally, we dined at Toro, the on-site restaurant, and the food was absolutely outstanding. If I had to mention one drawback, it would be the $80 per night valet parking fee. However, the exceptional service provided by the doormen made it a worthwhile expense.

Overall, this hotel delivered an outstanding experience, and I would gladly stay here again.

*Room 1423 for Valentine’s Day weekend- The Mays*
5 STARS DESERVED!!! My husband and I planned a long overdue getaway for the weekend and chose to stay here. We stayed for 3 nights and it was amazing!!! Highly recommend getting using the Gold upgrade, delicious complimentary breakfast, snacks&drinks. The doorman&Customer service was phenomenal from checking in, the bar, room service, hospitality, to Checking out! Gail even helped us reserve a last minute reservation to an outside restaurant on vday when everyone else was fully booked!! Staff goes above and beyond to ensure your stay meets all of your expectations!

The Bar

Tyckte om några läckra cocktails under happy hour. Trevlig miljö och artig server. Tabellerna gjorde det enkelt att göra lite arbete medan du smuttrade.

Mina vänner bjöd tillbaka till deras hotell för att få drycker och det var en mycket avkopplande upplevelse. Det fanns inte mycket fottrafik genom hotellet, det var relativt lugnt och förutom oss var baren ganska tyst och lugn. Det var ett bra sätt att koppla av från dagen och njuta av en drink med vänner.

Detta var en cool bar, i rundan, mitt i Fairmont Hotel Lobby. Atmosfären var en gentlemans bar från början av 1900-talet med trä och glas. Inredningen, även om den var modern, kände sig maskulin. De hade ett brett utbud av sprit och drycker av dagen.

Det här är så mycket som jag är bekymrad för någon besökare. Du måste försöka ostkortet att dela och 2 ingefära dryck, du kommer inte att vara ledsen.

Som vi stannade på hotellet stannade vi baren för en cocktail. Bra ölutbud, ett vin för alla. bra blandade drycker.

De hade ett utmärkt urval av viner. Det ligger i centrum av lobbyn. Det är ett bra ställe att träffa människor för en affärsrörelse diskussion.

Lite besviken från beskrivningar på Internet och guideböcker. Känns som en genomsnittligt hotell bar (även om jag är en frekvent affärsresenär så kanske lite störd).  Vänlig och effektiv service. Trevliga cocktails.
