It is nice; you get to see a number of 1 year to 5 year old elephants running, drinking milk and playing in the mud. It is a very nice experience while listening to their stories. You have to arrive on time for the animal feeding and you should stand far if you hate the mud cause let’s face it .. they are elephants 😂. One thing is that the ticket price is not real as you have to pay for the national park entrance fees of 45 $ to be able to get into the elephant shelter and pay like 20$.

Great experience to come to the elephant orphanage. Be aware you need to book tickets 3 months in advance and it is busy when your in there. It is just to watch the bottle feeding and mud baths from behind a rope fence. Interesting to hear about the orphans and obviously wonderful to see them all playing and interacting with each other. There is a gift shop that takes card payments. Would highly recommend this experience.

The team at Sheldrick’s have done an amazing job at rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned infant elephants and rhinos.

The elephant nursery is open only for an hour  (from 11am - 12 noon) and requires advanced bookings so make sure to book tickets at least a week or more in advance to ensure you’ve got a slot reserved for the dates of your visit.

This place is a must visit! I love elephants and here we can see them up close and even touch them. We also get to see them drink milk from their bottles which they look so silly and cute.

The booking process may be a bit annoying, so it would be best to book through a third party e.g. trip advisor maybe. They also open at only a specific hour and you need to pay the national park entry fee to get in. It would be best if you visit the national park in the morning then go straight to the elephant orphanage, which is what we did~

Lovely place to see baby elephants. It's clear that the caretakers care deeply for the elephants and the guided visit allows you to see them at feeding time where they interact with each other. Very educational and worthwhile but expect a crowd.
