Fancy Feast...the food and service is impeccable. We sat by the pool on the patio. I had the seafood pasta and Caribbean mixed seafood. Which was so good. there is a  lot to choose from.  The ambiance of this restraunt is like no other. We visited on our last day in Nairobi Kenya, I recommend going at the beginning of your trip so that you can enjoy the ambiance and cocktails for the poolside full bar. We made a reservation  for the Sunday  brunch menu and upon arrival  the service  was amazing  from the entrance....the brunch menu had 3 selection  and both were bottomless  seafood ,one with unlimited cocktails and the other one with unlimited sparkling wine....the portions were massive .....nice aesthetic, nice band,it was just amazing.....we began with sushi ,assorted dumplings, pasta,off the grill,crab then dessert. I really  enjoyed  the meals and service  at mawimbi it was top notch and I'll  definitely  go back....

This was the very FIRST restaurant that visited after my flight landed in Nairobi. I was immediately impressed by the layout of the restaurant, the wall art and decor, and the amazing service. The food was mouth-watering delicious. I loved the Rosemary Chicken platter and the Pepper Steak platter. The creamy side sauce that came with both platters was very tasty. In 7 days, I went to Mawimbi three times. I cannot end this review without giving many thanks to Vincent. Vincent’s service was amazing and he is definitely an asset to the Mawimbi Restaurant’s brand. When I return to Nairobi, I will definitely visit Mawimbi again.

I recently visited Mawimbi for lunch with a friend, hoping for a memorable high-end dining experience. The ambiance was spot on, and the staff was attentive and welcoming. However, the meal left much to be desired, especially for the premium price.

We started with the crab and avocado starters, which were excellent and set a promising tone. For mains, my friend ordered garlic prawns and calamari. While the calamari was enjoyable, the prawns were disappointing—they hadn’t been properly cleaned, so she returned them. Unfortunately, even after being redone, they were still unsatisfactory, and she decided to leave them untouched. The manager responded graciously by offering us a complimentary dessert, and we opted for the blueberry cheesecake. It was delicious and certainly a highlight of the meal.

I chose the lobster thermidor, which was nicely presented and mostly enjoyable, but I found it lacking in seasoning. Perhaps it’s my preference for bolder flavors, but I expected more depth, especially from a signature dish.

The real disaster came after our meal: I suffered from a severe case of food poisoning, unlike anything I’ve experienced before. This, coupled with the issues we encountered with the seafood, made for a disappointing visit overall. Sadly, I can’t recommend Mawimbi based on this experience. I’m legit traumatized.

This is such an excellent space and their Sunday Brunch is even more inviting. Nestled in the heart of the CBD, the restaurant features the right balance of ambiance and a neo-plush aesthetic that is bound to keep you coming back for more. The seafood is fresh and all accompaniments compliment the food splendidly. Came here for a birthday celebration with family and it was everything we could have imagined it to be an more. Amazing staff too.
