Had such a wonderful time today visiting with friends, entry fee was very reasonable, lady at reception was very friendly and informative. Animals look well cared for and well fed. Lots of shade considering it was a hot day. The place is very big with lots to see and do... I recommend wearing closed shoes and light clothing if you plan to visit. We came a little late in the day which was great as it was more quiet and gave time to view all the amazing animals and creatures. Would love to return soon for a picnic. 🌿♥️

This is a great experience for young and old alike! I visited on a Friday and enjoyed no queues or large group of visitors. I could take my time strolling from one exhibit to the next.

The entrance fee is reasonable, the staff are incredibly friendly, the bathrooms were clean, and they have a small shop on the premises selling a range of nibbles, toys, gifts, etc.

I could easily spend 2 hours here.

thank you for such a nice atmosphere and service! very nice place, more than nice! ideal place to go with children! for children there is a place to run around which is excellent! there are also picnic areas which are simply ideal! as well as toilets which are very good if you have children and let's be honest for adults too! so today is international women's day so I decided that today I will visit you, thank you for making this day so great! because I am far from home! A lovely little gem. While there are quite a variety of different animals to see and feed, it can get very hot here which can make it unpleasant if you don't have comfortable clothing, shoes, hat, water and other essentials. It's definitely a winner for kids, though, I wish there were more shaded areas. The jungle gym is basic, and not shaded. I'd definitely recommend bringing your kid's pram if they are younger - it's quite a bit of walking around, and they will get tired. Good baby-changing facilities. The cafeteria wait times is quite long for a takeaway place (there is only 1 on the premises). I waited around 45 minutes for a basic order. Although the food is reasonably priced, the quality of the food isn't great. I'd recommend bringing your own picnic basket and having lunch with your family under a tree.

All in all, a lovely spot for a day out; best on a not-so-hot day, for reasons previously mentioned.

Giraffe House in Cape Town provided a fantastic day out for our family, especially our young daughter, Beatrix. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by incredibly welcoming hosts who made us feel right at home.
The cost of entry was pleasantly low, making it a budget-friendly outing. Beatrix was thrilled to find lots of other children to play with, and the ample shaded areas ensured everyone stayed cool and comfortable despite the sunny weather.
The giraffe encounter was truly amazing! Getting up close to these gentle giants was an unforgettable experience. We also loved feeding the goats, emus, and llamas – a real highlight for both kids and adults.
Giraffe House also boasts a fantastic gift shop filled with every giraffe-themed item you could imagine. We couldn't resist picking up a few souvenirs!
With good facilities and a selection of snacks and meals available, Giraffe House has everything you need for a fun and memorable day out. Highly recommended!
