Incredible views and a nice safe area. I would guess due to the entrance fee, there is an added layer of safety so you can explore freely with your camera. Several trails to explore with easy to moderate hiking difficulty. Mostly paved ground and/or stairs. Toilets are very clean, staff on site are very friendly and pleasant.

Cape point beautiful and serene environment with lot to see and do. Take a walk or drive to Cape of good hope with stunning view of the Southern most tip of the Cape peninsula and make to your way to the lighthouse with breath taking views you won't forget. Please check pricing on Google it varies for SA residents, SADC Citizens and Non-SA residents. Please ensure to take some form of identification when entering the Nature reserve as pricing varies for SA Citizens and foreign nationals. Overall plenty to see and very safe for local and foreign national.

Beautiful views. Very well maintained. Many options from a physical activity perspective. There are beaches and rock pools where you can swim. Baboons are active in the area. There is a curio shop and a restaurant the restaurant is expensive, be prepared. A good option to spend the day out..

Cape Point Nature Reserve is the premier nature reserve in Cape Town (some would say the Western Cape) because of its accessibility, safety and feature experience that it provides.

It costs R105 ($5.60) for locals to enter, and R455 (about $24) for international visitors.

But you get to experience an unspoilt natural environment just an hour away from an urban centre of Cape Town, and minutes outside Simon's Town.

There are beaches, trails, viewing spots and many animals to observe in the reserve.

You will find extremely helpful and friendly staff. In particular, Otwa at the Buffelsfontein Tourist information Centre was very helpful and went out of his way to provide key information for a tourist.

And at Cape Point, Mitchell provided great conversation and assistance so casually, he gave the impression that it was his natural character, and not something trained for the job.

The reserves stands out as attractive and you can see that lots of work has gone into producing a world class area.

That doesn't mean that it's perfect - there are some shortcomings like the lack of binoculars at key lookout areas and more effort could be made to accommodate wheelchair users but the work is ongoing.

Don't carry visible food with you as it attracts baboons which can be pretty destructive.

It was a long overdue visit to Cape Point Nature Reserve. The weather was beautiful, the scenery absolutely stunning. A bit of a congestion at the gate, but truly worth the wait. We did not venture the new lighthouse, because my wife is afraid of heights, but we did take a walk down to Diaz beach - It’s a definite must! although the walk back up is very tiring- so be fairly fit. On my next visit, I would like to go to Venus Pool and Platboom Beach.
