What an amazing dinner experience! Of course all the seafood is fresh and delicious! Also, the most special thing about the place is they don’t have a menu. They will bring you to pick the seafood and also the way you wanna them to be cooked! Staff is super friendly with superb wine recommendation!

This spot was recommended by many people but I personally think it was overrated. While the food was decently good and filling, it tasted a good as a dinner you could’ve easily made at home. For the prices of the seafood it was not worth it. Especially given that half of the seafood was imported like the scallops and prawns and salmon. It was great to learn about the local fish and seafood though. And our waiter, the Congolese dude, was definitely the highlight.

The overall experience was good.
The seafood is great quality but the flavors lacked for me. Everything needed more salt and the sauces didn’t add enough too it. I don’t think they cater for our South African pallet which is use to a lot more flavor.
The sushi we had was perfect!
The service was great and I’m glad we went but for the price I expected everything to be exceptional.
We maybe be back for sushi but that is it unfortunately.

We had the most amazing lunch at the Codfather. Not only was our food incredibly fresh but our server John was top notch. We started off with some sushi and then John recommended some local SA wine and fish. We couldn’t stop saying how absolutely delicious everything was and we felt so lucky to have John hosting us! Thank you Codfather and John for an amazing lunch!!

In a wealthy part of town, this location tries to shine through their seafood options. With local seafood on ice, you can choose what you'd like to eat. Generally, the service was on par for S.A., which is slower than the US, but average for SA, but very cordial. We came in the afternoon on a weekend without reservation, so we had limited time to enjoy before evening Reserved customers arrived. Immediately,  I noticed the sun shining through the upstairs windows with blinding light. There are no blinds, so make sure you're on the other side of the tabel. While their seafood experience has no complaints, their side dishes completely missed the target; either bland or cold. Their wine was not stored properly, so it was warmer than expected. Desert was average at best, using cheap ingredients. While not terrible, consider other options in the area.
