We had a lovely tour of the lighthouse which included the history thereof and displays showcasing some interesting memorabilia. The tour was quick, yet lovely and offered beautiful views of Green Point and the ocean. It was also extremely affordable! Definitely worth a visit. - note that they are only open for tours on weekdays.

It only costs R20 per adult and R10 per child and is open Monday to Friday until 15:00. It provides an interesting glimpse of the light house, and one can climb all the way to the top and stand outside. From there, you get a 360-degree view of the surrounding area, which allows for beautiful pictures. It takes only a couple of minutes and I think it is well worth it.

It is amazing to see history and the now that has been merged. The promenade and parks surround the lighthouse.
