Lovely little park where you can enjoy spectacular views of Table Mountain (pictured here with its “Tablecloth”). You can walk along the stream and feel completely disconnected from the city. Van Riebeeck Park is a great spot to sit down with a book and people-watch.

There’s also a coffee truck parked near the entrance where you can grab a cuppa and a snack to accompany your walk.

I had a lovely peaceful afternoon. the park it's self is big enough you can always find somewhere peaceful to sit and just enjoy your afternoon, people all around having picnics, play time with their pets, I hope you love dogs but the owners seem to have them in line , no worry about you having a picnic. there's a small clean stream river that goes around you can put your feet in, I saw a lovely couple taking couple photos it was cute.  I had myself a yummy refreshing homemade strawberry lolly from this Charming small coffee shop van in the park

One of the best dog parks in Cape Town. Worth the trip. Our dogs love the special treat of travelling there. It is very big and feels like you are in a manacured wilderness. There are lots of different areas for the dogs to explore.

Great place to go for a walk or a picnic.
There is no entrance fee and there is some times a market on a weekend morning.
The park also has a fence all the way around around which makes it feel a great deal safer than some others in the area.
It is also well maintained, with the grass seemingly being cut regularly and no litter to be found which is refreshing.
The views of table mountain are fantastic and from some angles you can see all the way to the sea.

Great picnic playground for the adventurous family and friends. Nice river walk for your pets too. Good atmosphere and good views of surburbia and table mountain range 👥⁉⌚🌐
