From the moment I arrived, everything about this hotel exuded luxury and sophistication. It’s clear that attention to detail and guest experience are top priorities here. The ambiance is impressive and immediately sets the tone for a memorable stay.

The lounge is nothing short of spectacular—an ideal space to unwind, offering comfort, elegance, and impeccable service. The food was another highlight of my stay, with each dish reflecting the highest standards of quality and taste. The staff went above and beyond to ensure every need was met, demonstrating genuine warmth and professionalism that made me feel truly welcomed.

To my delight, I was upgraded to a stunning suite with breathtaking views of the iconic Pearl Tower. The room was beautifully designed, spacious, and equipped with every amenity I could have wished for, making my stay all the more special.

A tad late, but I had the most incredible birthday stay at The Ritz-Carlton Shanghai last December! From the moment I arrived, everyone made me feel so special.
A big thank you to Ms. Ashin for such a smooth and welcoming check-in. She was so kind and set the tone for an amazing experience. Jade from Guest Relations went above and beyond with a beautiful cake, card, and decorations in my room—it was such a lovely surprise! And Meera added her special touch with a thoughtful card and gifts that made the day even more memorable.
The restaurant staff were fantastic too—so attentive and friendly, and accommodating my request to sit in the table by the window. Even the porters and bell attendants were wonderful, always helpful, cheerful and even greeted me- somehow they knew it was my birthday.
Everything about my stay was perfect, and the team truly made my birthday unforgettable. Thank you all for such an amazing experience—I can’t wait to come back!

Beautifully decorated hotel, centrally located in Pudong. The hotel is very opulent and chic, breakfast was phenomenal, our room was spectacular with an amazing river view. I have to mention that there was a horrible smell in our bathroom that just wouldn't go away; I noticed a similar smell during breakfast. I am not sure what it was, but it made me uncomfortable.

Sky bar was closed due to a private event so we went to the lobby bar for drinks. Unfortunately this was not a pleasant experience. It took the staff 30 minutes to bring us two glasses of wine, and when we rejected it, because the wine had obviously been opened the day prior, everyone went into panick mode and it took forever to bring a fresh bottle. It all got resolved eventually, but something like this should not happen in a 5 star hotel.

The location is unbeatable, offering stunning views of the three iconic landmarks in Pudong. The service is top-notch, with an abundance of staff always ready to assist, making the experience truly pleasant. The Chinese restaurant is excellent, providing a delightful dining experience. However, the room facilities feel a bit outdated. The showerhead had weak and uneven water flow, and it couldn’t be fixed in place, which was slightly annoying. It would be great if the hotel could invest in upgrading its facilities to better match the otherwise excellent experience.

Stayed at the Ritz Carlton Shanghai for a night before our cruise and another before heading home. Its prime location next to IFC Mall was a major plus. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly by the staff. Special thanks to Zora and Sumner for a smooth check-in and for providing rooms with stunning views. I would definitely stay here again.
