Came here as a party of four for lunch. Disinterested reception.
Showed us to our table and left a tablet for us to place orders with no attempt to explain how it works.

We ordered our food and was surprised that tea was not served.

Service was generally poor. When we asked for tea we were show a page on the tablet menu where the cheapest pot was listed around RMB 150. We ordered it and later while browsing through we realised that the precious pages listed tea at more reasonable prices. We drank our expensive tea and had a selection of their rather indifferent "Tim Sum" for lunch.

We ate, paid the overpriced bill and left, and not a word of "thank you" or "come again" from any of the serving staff nor receptionist.
Later we discovered that it was supposed to be Michelin starred.
Hah.

Only the view of the restaurant garden was good.

I had lunch at this restaurant 6 years ago and I just come back to Shanghai and I did go to this restuarant yesterday (23/01/2024) and find out that there’s no more Ye Olde Station. This restaurant was closed 2 months ago so the info on Google Maps is not updated.

Fairly average food for the price range. Had much better meals in Shanghai for half the price. Service is pretty awful. They seat you and then give you a tablet to order off of, but they give you no instructions on how to use it. The tablet is a pain. It makes ordering far more difficult than it should be. Our waiters managed to explode two beers on our table as well with not a sign of remorse. Maybe this spot is better for large groups? I’m a bit perplexed as to how this restaurant comes Michelin recommended.

An authentic Shanghai restaurant, proposing traditional dishes from the Shanghai local tradition (sweet water crabs are a must taste choice when on season).
Beautifully placed in a hold station, you have the choice at dining also in 2 real train wagons (reservation mandatory).
Menu choice is gorgeous, frankly I'm embarrassed at choosing what to mention here.
Good service. Prices are more than reasonable.
Restaurant has been recently given the "Bib Gourmand" award by the Michelin Guide, which means "exceptional good food at moderate prices".
Highly recommended!

Definitely one of the most authentic shanghainese dining experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is exceptionally rich in showing shanghai’s history. It made me feel like I time travelled back in time. You can choose to dine inside old  train carriages in the garden area (however, it can be a little chilly in winter).

Stand out dish for me was definitely the braised eels!
