Not an upscale fine dining restaurant. The service is friendly and considerate, but also rather casual. We had a tasting menu. The best dishes were mushroom foam they served at the start and wagyu. The rest were tasty but nothing to write home about. Wine paring was good.

If this was not a Michelin 1 star rated place I might have considered 4 stars, but overall too distant of a Michelin star experience in my reference with both food and service lacking touch of sophistication.

We took our vegetarian son to Arcane for his momentous 30th birthday and the vegetarian plant-based menu items were just the perfect match for his special day. My wife and I are not purely vegetarian so we enjoyed some of their other a la carte food choices. Highly recommended!!

**Review for Arcane Restaurant**

I recently dined at Arcane to celebrate a special occasion, and while the food was delicious, the overall experience was deeply disappointing due to poor service and a lack of attention to detail.

I had requested a vegan menu in advance, and one of the staff members confirmed this with me and provided a plant-based menu. However, later on, another staff member served me bread with butter. Assuming the butter was vegan, I ate it, only to later discover—after double-checking with another staff member—that the butter was not vegan. This was incredibly frustrating and felt careless, especially since dietary preferences were discussed beforehand. To make matters worse, the staff member who served the butter didn’t even introduce the dish or clarify what was being served.

Additionally, I had asked for assistance in preparing something special to mark our anniversary, but they completely forgot about it. This was such a letdown, given how important the occasion was to me. On top of that, the staff rushed us to leave because there was another customer waiting for the table, which felt disrespectful and unprofessional. For a restaurant where we spent more than HK$1,300 per person, this kind of service was simply unacceptable.

They also didn’t provide a non-alcoholic drinks menu, which was inconvenient for those of us who don’t drink alcohol. While I can’t fault the food itself—it was flavorful and well-prepared—the poor service and lack of attention to detail ruined what should have been a memorable evening. For the price we paid, the experience was not worth it at all. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues, as this was far below the standard I expected from a restaurant of this caliber.

A very professional restaurant in the heart of Central.  The food is great quality and prepared to the high standards of modern fine dining.  The gnocchi was a stand out dish.  As great as it was,  it was a touch cramped and for some reason we were the only table that wasn't served any petit fours.  An oversight maybe?

Finally have a chance to come back to Arcane after the pandemic, food was not as good as before, but staff are still very attentive and friendly. The best dish we had was the dessert chocolate cannoli with vanilla canele. The steak was well grilled but other dishes were just average standard. The sourdough bread was too sour for our taste. Overall, I will say try the a-la-carte menu instead of the tasting menu.
