Mak Man Kee Noodle Shop serves some of the best noodles I’ve had in Hong Kong so far—absolutely delicious! The atmosphere isn’t the best, as it’s always packed, and you might feel a bit rushed. If you’re coming with 1-2 people, be prepared to share a table with others. Despite that, it’s still a fantastic place to visit, especially for the quality of the food. The shop has won multiple Bib Gourmand awards from Michelin, which speaks to its excellence. Bonus: they offer menus in several languages, making it easy for everyone to order.

Definitely worth going here for a special visit. The wonton soup noodles are off the charts — the prawns were soft, sweet, and savory. The pork was very good but didn’t quite rise up to the level of the prawns. The portion sizes were smaller so if hungry may need to order multiple dishes, but the prices are affordable. The atmosphere was also simple and charming, a slice of classic Hong Kong.

The long lines outside caught my attention when walking past. Seeing their claims about Michelin stars, I decided to try it for lunch after a day spent hiking. They have noodles with various meats or noodle soup, too. I ordered the noodles with king prawns. Quickly served on a table shared with other diners. The dish had 6-7 plump prawn dumplings under a heap of egg noodles. Throw in some of the condiments on the table and dig in! The prawns were well cooked and tasted good with a dash of chilli sauce. At 50 HKD, it's definitely a worthy meal. Line up and try it. And yes, there are no card or octopus payments. Just cash!

We just came across this place and didn't expect much. But without any doubt, the food is amazing at first bite! Great cooking and taste. We had the wanton noodles, noodles with shrimp roe and shrimp dumplings.

The noddles were very springy (could be too springy for some). Dumplings and wanton were super fresh (we preferred the wanton). Worth a try if you are around the area. Expect a queue during peak hours.
