Had a 5 star experience at Ziya!

Ambience: very calm, tranquil ambience. The window offers a beautiful view of the sea and the queens necklace. The atmosphere is very pleasant.

Food : superb food in all aspects whether it's modern - fusion food or good ol classic butter chicken! Would recommend the pumpkin barley soup, the smoked dal makhani, butter chicken, and palak samosa.

Service: best in class service. Ms. Maria was very helpful from the beginning in prompt response to the booking and helping us out with the set menu options.
Mr. Siddharth and Ms. Chari were top notch in their service. Paying attention to all our needs they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted.

Value for money: The portion size is relatively smaller compared to the pricing, but the main course is quite sufficient. The overall experience was definitely worth paying for.

Pro tips :
1. go at sharp 7.00 pm when the restaurant opens if you want the best table with the view as these are limited.
2. We had a party of 5, so opted for the set menu option which allows you to plan in advance exactly what the pricing is going to be like. They have 3 different types of set menus along with Al carte.
3. Definitely recommend booking a table in advance.

Enjoyed the experience but was a bit underwhelmed by the flavour of the food. The hotel and restaurant are both magnificent and the service was great. Was suggested we order 3 dishes per person and share but could have done with a couple less. Overall enjoyable but could have been better value for money

Considering it's a luxury dining place, I liked the food just enough but the purdah biryani disappointed me. I am a biryani fanatic and everytime I am in india, I make sure I have biryani almost everyday. However, the aloo chaat, the charcoal prawn and the amritsari fish were quite good. The charcoal prawns definitely blew my mind. The service is top notch, as was expected, the view and ambience were amazing too

After watching the final table my wife and I really wanted to visit one of Vineet Bhatia‘s restaurant. And it was not upto the expectations.
A simple comparison the prawn at leopold cafe was way better than the prawn I had at Ziya.
My wife and I had the seven course chefs tasting for dinner during our visit to Mumbai.
Table setting and Presentation was 9/10
4 courses out of 7 were salty. It seemed like they used the same marinade for all 4 meats (shrimp, lobster, chicken, lamb). Which was very sad.
My favorite of all the courses was the fish. Very delicately cooked.
The dessert has to be the show stopper.. but was disappointing.
Cutting down on number of courses and focusing more of each course would be more valuable. In my opinion.!!

For many years I had this wish to visit Oberoi as I had heard a lot about their gr8 Hospitality . This time during my Mumbai visit , I suddenly planned a visit to the Hotel & thought of having my dinner out there . It was a magical experience as the hotel itself is out of the world . The hospitality , food presentation was just brilliant . I had my food in Ziya .

After visiting now I have decided that my business will be taken to such a level that I can book my rooms over here . Thanks for the wonderful memory which you people gave me . It's a nice place to bring your better half & surprise her which I will do some day,  Trust me it will be a beautiful memory for her .
