A wonderful and exclusive cliff ocean resort to escape to. Large villa with private pool. Remarkable butler service from check in, personal dining experience, food quality and attentive services. Pampering all the way. Yoga class by the cliff. In house spa. Perfect for a honeymoon and rejuvenation.
Only thing is location is real secluded. Far from street life.

Loved my stay here at Alila Uluwatu. Staff were so accomodating and friendly. Our villa was amazing. The breakfast phenomenal. Only criticism was the gym, very small and not enough equipment. Other than that, can’t fault the venue. Very peaceful, calm and aesthetically pleasing venue. Can’t wait for my next stay

One of the best luxury resorts in Uluwatu.
I had a lunch in Indonesian cuisine it was delicious.
A romantic dinner at the western cuisine “ set menu” also delicious and tasty
They have a complimentary archery, yoga needs to reserve first.
I have a problem with hotels and resorts in general in Bali “ smelly pillows and towels”
Spa was perfect and professional.
Nothing nearby to the resort.

Beautiful Villas, But Communication and Service Could Be Improved

I recently stayed at Alila Villas Uluwatu, and while the property is beautiful, there were several aspects that detracted from an otherwise nice experience. The villas themselves are spacious, beautifully designed, and offer a lot of privacy, making them perfect for a relaxing stay. The location is stunning, perched over a cliff with breathtaking ocean views that are hard to beat.

However, my experience was hindered by communication challenges. While I understand the convenience of using WhatsApp to communicate, I found that in-person interactions with staff lacked a personal touch. When I had requests or issues, staff often referred me back to text messages rather than providing immediate solutions, which disrupted the flow of my experience.

One of the more frustrating moments occurred when I was reviewing my expenses at checkout. There was a discrepancy in the charges, and I had to go back through my messages to clarify and ensure the correction was made. This process involved multiple people, which only added to the confusion and frustration. A seamless, high-end experience should not require this level of back-and-forth to resolve simple issues.

The restaurant food was decent, but not extraordinary, and the spa experience left much to be desired. The spa beds were uncomfortable, and overall, it didn’t feel as luxurious as I expected for the price. I provided immediate feedback, and a manager did promptly reach out, which I appreciated.

For the price point, I think there are other resorts in Bali that offer a more seamless experience with better attention to detail and more personalized service. The gym is small with no fitness classes, which was a downside for me.

In conclusion, while Alila Villas Uluwatu boasts a stunning location and beautiful villas, the service and communication could be improved to match the high standards expected at this price point. Despite its beautiful property, the lack of personal service, communication gaps, and issues with billing left me feeling that other resorts in Bali might provide a more well-rounded experience.
