Varit på denna bar vid många tillfällen under de senaste 8 åren. Så tråkigt att se att platsen ser trött och i behov av en renovering som det är så daterat. Servicen var dålig med många anställda som chattar med en grupp berusade kunder och gå förbi vår grupp trots våra tomma glas. Livebandet var för högt och föredrog det när det fanns videor som spelades på TV-skärmarna. Jag blev chockad när jag såg en av personalen leda en dam med en bebis till sofforna så att hon kunde göra ett blöjbyte. Inte acceptabelt! Tråkigt bortgång för en gång stor bar.

Jag har kommit hit i många år. Det har alltid varit ett bra ställe med vänlig service och bra musik. Jag bor i Seminyak en vecka flera gånger om året och brukar komma hit på minst 5 av dessa nätter. Men den här gången gick jag en gång och inte gå tillbaka. Anledningen var livebandet. Började bra med de första låtarna, välkända 70-talshits. Sedan bytte de till att spela önskemål. 5 av de följande 7 låtarna var asiatiska texter, förmodligen kinesiska. Jag är västerlänning och har uppenbarligen aldrig hört låtarna och kan inte förstå texterna. Du skulle bara känna till dessa låtar om du var från landet de kom ifrån. Platsen var inte upptagen och mest européer och australiensare. Vid det här laget hade minst en tredjedel gett upp och gått, inklusive jag. Normalt lockar ett liveband folk som går förbi och hit populärmusik men på grund av att bandet sjunger asiatiska låtar kom inte en enda person in från gatan. När jag gick var det också en grupp på 5 ungdomar som gick, klagade på musiken. Jag gick över gatan och gick till en annan bar och spelade levande musik. Detta band spelade hits och var väldigt upptagna. Jag vet inte vad som har hänt med Röda mattan men de kanske borde gå tillbaka till DJ:n och spela inspelad musik istället för liveband som catering till ett bord med asiatiska matare som matar tipslådan.

Besökte runt 19 igår kväll med en vän. Vid mitt förra besök hoppade jointen och små kanapéer anlände med några minuters mellanrum, vilket motiverade det höga priset på vårt obligatoriska glas bubbel. Vi fick gratis drinkar också. Igår kväll var vi nästan de enda människorna där och för $ 22 AUD fick ett mycket litet glas av huset “champagne”. Efter att vi varit där i ungefär en halvtimme blev vi serenade från scenen av en lokal sångare och gitarrist som var trevlig nog. Efter ytterligare 15 minuter eller så och en liten kanapé senare åkte vi, kände oss försummade och snuvna. Stället skulle verkligen behöva en ansiktslyftning också. Röda mattan ser lite tatuerad ut.

Inte riktigt bra upplevelse. Rekommenderas inte för ett par att gå. Lika många ”tjejer” som flörtar runt. För singel kille, är det ett bra ställe att sightseeing. Dåliga minnen när jag hittade min kille satt med en annan tjej. Och jag tror inte att det är ett bra ställe att umgås på om de inte har ett bra band att njuta med.

Denna plats är ett fantastiskt läge, i huvudgatan i Seminyak. Tyvärr är prissättningen långt ut ur kilter med de flesta andra toppklassplatser i området. Stannade på denna plats på vägen tillbaka till villan efter en trevlig måltid på en annan resteraunt. All personal är klädd i bell pojke kostymer eller franska maid outfits, coctails är mycket rimliga under happy hour och mycket stark. Personalen kommer också runt med brickor av små biter att prova på kvällen. När vi var där såg vi en grupp 3 på ett par scootrar, en med sittplats på framsidan för 2 och den andra med en champagneflask sidecar båda skotrar kördes av killar klädda som bellboys, vilket vi trodde var för att de hade spenderat lite pengar i baren, men när vi lämnade frågade vi om vi kunde använda tjänsten och fick höra självklart var avgiften en betalning av ditt val. Det avrundades på en mycket trevlig kväll.
