Food was exotic & memorable (Pariaman-style grilled fish, sautéed cassava & papaya leaves, deep fried stuffed beancurd, nasi Lewit from Solo). Staff shared that restaurant is typically packed during lunch due to office workers. So many dishes were sold out by dinner time. But we can call/message in advance to reserve the recommended dishes.

Had a great dinner here with colleagues. The place was completely empty besides our table — apparently it’s busy at lunch, but for dinner you probably don’t need a reso. It certainly wasn’t empty on account of the food, because everything was DELICIOUS. I especially loved the eggplant rendang and the klepon cake. Friendly service too. Friendly service and great ambiance to top it all off!

One of the best meals I've had in Jakarta, hands down.  Outstanding, delicately balanced preparations, with bold sauces that still retain nuance.  Menu is a nice mixture of traditional Indonesian favorites with some more Western dishes with Indonesian sauces.  Service is kind and efficient, space is beautiful and mocktails are some of the best I've ever had, anywhere.  Only one complaint: hot tea is from TWG and predictably terrible.  Try the satay; avoid the tea, be happy!

Huge edit: i came to Smriti again after a great first experience. And out of the 6 items we tried to order, FOUR items are not available to be ordered. Reason being, no stock since they just had an event. This is hugely disappointing. Either cut down your menu, or be professional with stocking up your kitchen.

I absolutely adored this place! The food, the service, the ambience were just top notched. As an Indonesia, it hasn't been easy to find Indonesian restaurant that blows my mind 😂.. This one certainly did. The ingredients were quite unique, yet it doesnt deviate too much from the basic principles of Indonesian cuisine. Really appreciate the creativity and care put into to dishes. Not to mention, the place is so pretty! I loved that they use an old building as their venue and renovated it without losing its charm.
