I cannot recommend this restaurant if you enjoy your food. In general, Jakarta is good value for good food. My tasting menu and matching wines cost IDR 2,050,950 (approximately £100), which is worth every penny for what you receive.
Not only is the food excellent, served in front of an open kitchen, but the Restaurant Director and Executive Chef owners made it feel like they were cooking for you. They both took the time to come and speak to me to find out what I liked about the food and offered me a tour to finish the night off. This is what hospitality should always be about!
My favourite dish was the pumpkin dish from their Moments menu, which was spectacular. I could have eaten a much more significant portion and only been served that, and I would have left happy.
There are many excellent restaurants in the SCBD, but try not to miss this one if you can, especially if you want a refined menu of locally inspired dishes.

We had an amazing experience at ESA yesterday evening on our last night in Jakarta. All dishes were surprising and well executed. They use high quality ingredients from all over Indonesia to recreate Indonesian dishes in their own way. The service was immaculate and the staff was very attentive and informative with each course. The price is very reasonable for such an experience and its a lot of food to be honest. You won’t leave this place hungry. Thank you guys and keep it up!

First time back in Jakarta after 10+ years and dining at ESA was so pleasurable ........ great food prep, quality, technique and presentation! And the staff & service ... super good .... super friendly ..... super personal .... compliments to the restaurant manager and team doing all the hard work at the kitchen as well as the service team! Chef Ferdy, loved your rice ... simple joy and you shared your recipe too, thank you!

ISA is truly one of the best fine dining experiences in Jakarta. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere sets the tone for an exceptional evening. The place is clean and quiet. Not many tables, perfect for people who like more private and intimate settings!

The service is impeccable—attentive without being intrusive, and the staff are knowledgeable about every dish. Each course is a work of art, with beautifully balanced flavors and top-tier ingredients.
