It's a place to be visited, if only to say you've been to the lowest point on earth. It's fun floating in the sea and putting the mud on. Very interesting impressions from the Dead Sea: it is not possible to go to the bottom... I can stay in every point of the sea surface - being vertical without moving and without touching the bottom. Even at the height of the summer, at a weekend it wasn't over-busy and we had a very relaxing time

The public beach is very clean, equipped with showers, changing cabins, places in the shade including in the water, cold water dispensers.
You can rent chairs and sunbeds or you can sit on your own sheet in the shade.
I recommend using water shoes both because of the sharp salt crystals but also because the sand is very hot in the sun.
We only stopped for a few hours on the way from Masada to Eilat, we couldn't miss the experience of floating in the dead sea.
You can park for free in an unmaintained parking lot at the southern end of the resort, 50 meters from the beach.

Just float and avoid getting water into your eyes (painful!!!).
If you want to avoid too much sun then best to go there early morning (between 5am to 7am).
As for the crowd - depends since you need to consider the tour groups that come and go.
Public shower and changing rooms are available too.

Was looking forward to being here. Water was really hot like getting into a hot bath. I am glad i brought along a sun shirt. It gave me extra time to float without worrying about getting burned. Bathroom were clean enough for a public beach, plenty of showers near the water edge, free lounge chairs, and plastic patio style chairs with umbrellas to sit under. Would recommend bringing water shoes crock style shoes. Thos helps when walking over the hard pices of salt in shallow water. Dont forget to try that iconc float as well. Happy to have experienced this place.
