Best ramen and gyoza in this thr city! The gyoza in this small restaurant is amazing; soft and juicy inside, crispy on the outside. The Taiwan ramen is spicy and delicious. Literally anything you order is perfectly prepared and full of amazing flavors. Try the gyoza-stuffed chicken wings, they're beyond amazing. And be sure to play Hi-ball challenge! I have no clue what the rules are, but it's a fun drinking game. All good times here. It's usually bustling and busy, and the service is always fast and friendly.

NOODLES IN HELLFIRE This restaurant in Nagoya serves excellent gyoza, though their four-alarm spicy ramen is the real showstopper. After having my dinner suggestions for 7/22/19 shot down time and time again by Nichole C (love you hun!), we came to an agreement on Kunekune. It was close to our hotel and prices were cheap; what more could you ask for? They brought out cold kimchi and water for us, along with a couple of malt beers (580￥each). Gyoza (6pcs for 330￥) were delicious and a great value. The filling was smooth instead of lumpy weirdness, which is what I'm used to. They came with hot chili oil and dipping sauce. My better half loved her standard ramen (700￥). The broth had an incredibly rich umami flavor, and the pork belly couldn't have been tastier! It also came with a perfectly soft boiled egg and chopped scallions. She mentioned several times that it was "the best ramen she'd ever had". When it came to my selection, I saw a series of red hot chili peppers on the menu (RHCP for the win!) and knew right away I'd choose the spiciest option. My ramen came with a brief warning statement, advising me to be: in good health, not pregnant, and able to tolerate excessive heat. The wickedly spicy tonkatsu (830￥) had a silky broth fashioned with hot chili oil and red pepper flakes. The heat level was a dynamite 6/10, RIGHT smack dab in the sweet spot. Anything below a 3/10 isn't hot enough, and anything above a 7/10 isn't safe for normal human consumption. These guys absolutely nailed it. Bread = 5 Circuses = 4.5 Service was fairly speedy, and the inside of the restaurant was clean. They had American music playing in the background, which makes me think they cater to lots of Westerners. We're certainly appreciative! * TL;DR * Both our ramen bowls were fantastic, and a great value to boot. They have some English menus, so don't fret if you can't 'sprechen sie Japanese'. Yelp steered us in the right direction yet again, with this gem of a place in Nagoya. Highly recommended for lovers of spicy food and casual eaters alike. ありがとうございます !

My partner and I visited this restaurant a few minutes before they open, and yet we didn't have to wait for them to prepare our orders. They were really quick to ask our orders, and serve them within 5 minutes! We were able to enjoy their homemade kimchi with the free bowl of rice they serve, between 11:00 to 15:00. I am very impressed, and greatly satisfied with their ramen as well.

Kunekune is located on a main street near Fushimi station and it is right by Hilton Nagoya. They are open from 11am till late night even on Sun, while a lot of places are closed on Sun near Fushimi because it is a business district. I usually order regular kune soba Tonkotsu flavor, and I really like everything about it. I love Tonkotsu and the broth is just right....not too oily and heavy. This one comes with skinny noodle which I love. I believe their top selling items, shoyu tonkotsu and shio tonkotsu come with thick noodles and in a bit heavier broth. However you can change the type of noodles with any order. This is my usual quick dine-in place when I'm too tired to walk further away from my hotel. P.S. They offer all you can eat kimchi. However they don't take Gyoza order until 3pm....a bit odd.

Good fast ramen. Ambiance isn't anything to write home about but fine for big groups or kids. Ramen is good- and they have English menus to explain the different types if you need it. Goyza was average for japan. Fried rice was quite good. The pork in the ramen was really well done despite that it's not actually from New Zealand KuneKune pigs. :)
