Wonderful throwback to an era still living in the modern times... It's a mishmash of old and new... Definitely a place to visit as a tourist to check off that bucket list! While you're there... Commit to the life and rent the kimonos to enjoy the sights and sounds while wearing the traditional attire! Oh... It was cold, wet, and gloomy for weather... Make sure you check the ever changing weather and bring an umbrella if there's even a 40% chance

We came on a rainy day and the walk uphill was still very pretty. There were so many cute shops and restaurants that sold desserts and snacks.

The sun peeked out when we reached the Kiyomizu temple and we got to take really beautiful photos of the Japanese architecture and mountainous surroundings. It was very crowded despite the cold and wet weather. There were many people who dressed in Kimonos. Hope to try that next time!

So many interesting stores. Amazing ambience, and it's all well preserved. It's unlike other places such as temples or shires. This place is to hang out, grab a snack and go shopping. There are a lot of people too.

Woke up at 5am. Took a 3 buses which took 18min and ended up here. Morning risers were beginning to show. A lot of instagrammer with their boyfriend’s type deal. Cool spot which I feel can only be appreciated without a lot of people. Would never come here during the day for I feel it’s sorta a tourist trap and price gouging. Great morning vibes all and all.

Kyoto is my favorite place in Japan, which boasts the most Japanese-style pungmul. There was a hot spring in the accommodation where I stayed, and the fact that I could rest in the hot spring in the snowy winter gave me enough rest. The shops with cute and pretty designs on the street are cool. It was a trip that I came to realize that it was good to see snow in winter in Japan.
