We visited museum with my boyfriend who has chronic fatigue. He can’t walk too much so we took electric bicycle to the museum. But you can’t use bicycles if you are not gues of the hotel. Then when we took bus up, back from the museum it didn’t stop near the bicycle parking and went to the chicho museum…so we have to go back the our bicycles by foot. The museum is nice though and artworks are good

It is a great art museum to explore at a leisurely pace. There are plenty of spaces to relax, and it’s also a good place to have a meal.

As a hotel this is a great place, the rooms are big with a balcony and fantastic views over the bay.
Staff is very helpfull. Staying in a museum is a special expierience, you can view the art till 23h. And have free access to the benesse park museum (also after hours) and the Valley exposition (durinh hours).
We had dinner at the French restaurant (benesse park) once the "mer" menu and once the "ciel" menu. These names say nothing about the menu, "mer" was with wagyu, "ciel" with fish; both were overpriced.
The breakfast at this restaurant is excellent and you have a wonderfull view.
We also had breakfast at the benesse house, the setting isn't as faboulous,  the Japanse breakfast was - well, japanese- the continental looked great.

We thought that the expositions in the gallery weren't great but I guess that's a question of taste.

Got Art-chitecture? 🖼️ Was here for a past Setouchi Triennale & had to give this museum a miss but not this time round. What’s to love about this Ando-designed space is the main hall with the oculus, curios/productions by the artists & how the open areas overlook the oceanic skies.
