My mom and I walked in when the dinner hours had just started. We were craving for something pretty specific: A casual meal with a big meal-sized salad (hard to get in Japan) and good fish. We didn't see any larger salad on the menu, so I asked the lady who was getting the restaurant ready. She replied that they have a salmon salad, which would be enough for two people to share. So we ordered it along with a Shirasu donburi. The salmon salad is still on a smaller, daintier side -- I know I shouldn't be comparing it with Californian meal-sized salad. But it was delicious and very fresh. Shirasu donburi was very satisfying, and flavorful. The rice in the donburi was delicious. We got so happy about their services -- very kind and attentive -- and food, I forgot to take photos :-) It's a small, not-so-fancy joint, but the people there (including the chef) are very accommodating and kind. When restaurants and eateries are abundant like Minato Mirai, that is what makes you come back for more. Thank you for your wonderful service!

Average donburi restaurant on the B1F level of Queen's East in Minato Mirai. Ordered the shirasu donburi lunch set. Had a decent portion of fish, and for a simple healthy meal it was definitely a good choice. But the fish could have been a tad fresher and the overall flavor of the donburi itself was a nit muddled. The octopus appetizer that accompanied the meal was decent, although some may find the marinade on the heavy side. The miso soup was a good addition to the course, with a higher than average number of ingredients that nonetheless came together in a good bowl--lots of cabbage and mushrooms in this one.

It's alright. Perhaps it's the price being a tad more expensive than the other lunch spots. Perhaps it's the overall unsatisfactory feeling after finishing the meal. It's not really that healthy if you see the ingredients. Should have rice replacement options. Would be nice to be able to get veggies or something instead of rice. Also they won't split checks. Added inconvenience compared to other locations. You also have to refill your own water from a big tank in the corner. Yes one tank for all of us to refill. Would be easy to just have a carafe on the table
