The best Udon we have had in Japan. The restaurant is very small, so there can be quite a wait. But it is worth it. We got chicken udon with green onion but to be honest we didn't need the chicken. The green onion and udon and broth were perfect. Our kids tried the rice egg bowls and love them. The two ladies running the shop were so lovely and had menus in English as well. We cannot recommend highly enough. We will be back for sure.

A small local shop I saw on the Michelin Guide and the soup was good, the order came fast and I had not waited at all (no queue at 1 PM on a Monday). A bit pricey, but if you wanna feel the real taste you have to pay for it.

Best udon I had in Kyoto, simple kyoto-produced Negi Udon with a dash of ginger to warm your tummy on a rainy afternoon. The chilled Natto Udon was great too.

Loved the simple and peaceful atmosphere in the shop, the lady in the shop was wonderful despite having limited english.
