lt was a nice #museum to visit (especially i very hot summer days or freezing winter days). Staff was kind and helpful. On Fridays they are open till late at night.

Museum building is very modern and clean; it looks nice. Entrance is cheap. You can't take photos of any of the exhibits (with no explanation as to why), as is par for the course at Japanese museums. Such an arbitrary rule.

Exhibits are very dark, and the mood is somber. Whispering only. Feels like I'm at a wake. Buddha statues on the first floor and everything else are scrolls and some broken jars or boxes.

Still, the entrance is cheap, the building is nice, and at least the artifacts are okay to view.

The main exhibition is currently closed as of November 2024 so the ticket price only allows access to the special exhibit.

The Pure Land exhibit was very good, thorough, and interesting but I think the ticket price was higher than it needed to be.

This was a stop on our hop on hop off tour. It wasn't what I thought it would be, I would say more of an exhibition rather than a museum, but it was amazing. There are multiple levels (you start at the top and work your way down) showcasing various products created throughout the history of the lands. Its a very quite space, very peaceful. Tickets are cheap. Being a stop on the hop on hop off it's very easy to get to. I guess you could also get there by public transport, not sure about driving and parking. I would suggest making this a visit for tourists and even locals. The staff are friendly and helpful, overall I found it very interesting.

I went to the Pure Land exhibit. It was very interesting and a very impressive collection, however I think it was a bit too expensive for what it was. The museums main collection is also closed. The exhibit took me just over an hour to get through.

The grounds around the museum are very nice, and a good place to relax.
