I was able to make a reservation last Saturday and I had such an enjoyable evening here. While the food is good, especially the wagyu steak & the salad, what truly made it enjoyable for me was how attentive, friendly & kind the owners were. I definitely recommend making a reservation here if you had a chance to. And I'd love to visit here again the next time I travel to Kyoto.

Totally by chance, looked it up on Google maps, followed the website which advertised a couple had just cancelled reservation and there was an opening for 8:30pm, on a Sunday. Called immediately and still can’t believe I secured a spot.
Showed up at the basement location, door opens only when it’s time for you to be seated (cool).
From there the experience gets better and better, let alone the food quality being excellent. Thank you for creating this little place where you feel at home from the get go!

First stumbled upon this lovely place back in 2019.  But was not able to get a reservation then.  Finally this time round, i managed to secure a reservation and i was not disappointed at all.

Was impressed by the owner couple Hideki-san and Naoko-san, both of whom were very friendly and hospitable, making us feel right at home.

The wagyu beef was to die for and extremely delicious as well as their okonomiyaki.  I was also fortunate enough to get to try the Hibiki 21 whisky that was available at the restaurant.

The couple was also kind enough to recommend us some places to visit in Kyoto that are not the usual tourist spots but nonetheless hidden gems.  (unfortunately, did not get to visit this trip, but will try the next time i am back in kyoto)

Will definitely return to this restaurant the next time i am back in Kyoto. Hopefully it won't be another 4-5 years time.

MUST GO NOW. this is hands down one of the best meals I have had. From the service to the quality to the taste, naoko-san and hideki-san know what the people want!! They are hospitable, warm and give you a FULL dining  experience for a phenomenal price. We spent around $70 USD for a lot of food. We got the set menu #1 (photo above) and everything was made fresh and was DELICIOUS. I would eat anything Hideki-san served me! This is a must do when you are in Kyoto!!!

10/10! We were lucky enough to make a booking online and get some seats. The booking process is easy if you just follow the information online, and very much worth the effort! This place is very cosy, very authentic and has amazing food served by two fantastic people. One of our highlights during our trip in Japan. We chose for the set menu and had some very tasty dishes. The wagyu beef was the star of the show, perfectly cooked and seasoned; couldn't get enough! Will come again, should we even come back. Thank you, Hideki-San and Naoko-San!
