⭐️ Very lowkey Michelin 3 stars when I saw their 3 star banner hidden in a room under a table.
⭐️ It’s one of the best Japanese traditional cuisine. Very well presented the food ingredients itself, fresh.

It was a memorable experience and the service was incomparable (shoutout to Hayato-san, he’s awesome!). The dishes were executed perfectly. My favorite part was the hotpot and I really loved the Mio sparkling sake. The ambiance was unimaginably perfect (reminded me of my Animal Crossing phase which was very private and peaceful). Will go again next time we visit Kyoto!

The service was attentive and that is as far as it got. The ambiance was poor, yes we were in a private room but with only the garden to look at, I spent most of the evening with my back to it. No interesting art work or items in the room. The food was fresh but most dishes were very similar and there was no “wow” factor that I expect in a Michelin 3 star restaurant. I have been to a few 3 star restaurants in the past which were all top notch and had a lot of wow. Just as well we prepaid as although it was expensive at about 145,000 yen for 2 it would have been tough paying that on the night after such an ordinary experience.

Very elegant, very simple, food was very sophisticated. Very Demure. 🤣 5/5 great service, execution & flavors. Temperature and textures were perfect, will come back next time were in Kyoto! Shoutout to Hayato-san, excellent service!
