This hotel was phenomenal. My friend and I have been staying in hotels in Tokyo and Kyoto for two weeks and this was by far the best one. The staff were lovely and so accommodating. The hotel itself is modern and very nice, but the real stand out was the service. There were so many nice touches by the staff. We got our luggage forwarded here and they had already put our suitcases in our room for when we arrived. They also helped us with luggage forwarding and stored our overnight bags for us so we could walk around that day unencumbered. They even gave me a nicer bag for my overnight things when I came down with my clothes and toiletries in a carrier bag! There are free croissants provided each morning. There was a microwave in our room (great for warming onigiri!). The WiFi was very good. The toiletries provided were of very nice quality. The location is right by Nishiki market, but it's quiet inside the hotel. We were honestly sad to leave! I will be recommending this hotel to my friends and family and I wouldn't hesitate to return on a future trip to Kyoto.

We had a perfect stay! It’s a small boutique hotel in a lovely small street in a central area in Kyoto, with the nicest staff that helped us with everything we needed. The rooms were clean and relatively big for Japan with a comfortable king size bed. I’d highly recommend!

We have loved our stay and will be recommending to all our friends.   Rooms are well appointed, and the bathroom has a bath tub,  WiFi is strong.  The location is quiet, but two blocks from the hustle and bustle of shops and dining.   Has been a great place to relax and recharge while touring Kyoto and Osaka.

This hotel was worth every penny! Very centered, close to everything yet super quiet at night. The room sizes were bigger than usual compared to other hotels. It’s got a very minimal vibe to it yet and has everything you need. Amazing bathroom products and very comfortable bed and pillow.

The croissant were a bonus in the morning.

Service was top-notch, except for one receptionist short hair girl (who wore glasses) at the lobby I thought was quite rude and didn’t have a very good attitude.

We stayed here on a recent Kyoto trip and had a great time. The hotel is clean, is close to lots of restaurants and shopping options, and even provides complimentary croissants for each room every morning, which we thought was a cute touch.

But the highlight of our visit was definitely the attentive staff. During our stay we realized that we had booked incorrect dates for the next hotel we were planning on staying at in Kyoto. When we explained our situation to the front desk staff, they kindly offered to call the other hotel and provide context in Japanese before passing the phone over to us. The rebooking process for this other hotel was a bit complicated since we had originally booked through a third-party site, but the Miru Kyoto Nishiki staff provided unwavering support for us the whole time. For example, they allowed us to use their phone number for callback phone calls since we were international travelers without Japanese phone numbers. In the end we were able to successfully adjust our dates for the other hotel. This wouldn't have been possible without the awesome Miru Kyoto Nishiki staff, and we can't thank them enough for their help :)
