Possibly one of my favorite hotels ever stayed. Beautiful space. Room is spacious and clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good and the included buffet breakfast was excellent. It is about a 7 min walk from the nearest subway station and also walking distance to the tree-lined canal and restaurants. We had a short stay in Kyoto and didn’t get to use all the amenities but just coming in to the hotel after a long day was like coming into a peaceful zen space. Our room also fit my family of 5 which was a bonus. All the staff was very polite and helpful, and luggage shipping was easy to organize. I would stay here again and highly recommend it!

I highly recommend this hotel and would return to stay in a heartbeat. Stayed here for 6 nights and everything was of impressive standard - the staff welcome with check in, the room and the included extras of guest lounge with drinks and snacks plus the basement public bathing area (we loved this bath so much we used it 2-3 times every day!) The deluxe twin room was of a good size with beautiful interior fittings. Lovely bathroom with a high pressure shower and bath. The room was quiet and the bedding was super cosy and comfortable. But the star of this hotel is definitely the bathing area. It felt incredibly refreshing and luxurious to soak here after long days of exploring Kyoto. I will remember my stay for a long time.

I recently stayed at the blossom and was quite disappointed with the room assigned to me. While I understand that not every hotel room can offer a breathtaking view, I didn’t expect my window to face a dimly lit car park staircase. It completely defeated the purpose of having a window, making the room feel just as enclosed as a windowless space.

The lack of natural light and uninspiring view made the atmosphere feel dull and depressing, which negatively impacted my overall stay. It would be helpful if the hotel were more transparent about room views during the booking process or provided better design solutions, such as frosted glass or improved lighting, to mitigate the issue.

This hotel was great! This was the second hotel of my friends and I's first trip to Japan and I would happily stay here again in the future! The check in process was quick and easy, the room was nice and the TV even had screens to let you know when the washing machines or public bath were available. The location was great too, we found a couple of good local restaurants and there is a station very close that is only one stop away from Kyoto Station. There was always staff available at the front desk, and they even helped us schedule a very early taxi so we could make our early flight out.

Not only is this hotel beautiful, but the staff are some of the best as well. It was one of my most comfortable stays during my time in Japan.

The location of this hotel is a little further from the popular spots but it was by no means inconvenient as things were easily accessible by train or bus.

The staff were helpful, accommodating and friendly. When I had a lot of questions, I was helped quickly and kindly. I even witnessed the front desk staff being more than gracious to an unruly entitled guest who would not take accountability for their own mistake.

I used the delivery service offered by the hotel to send my luggage to my next destination and it was easy and thorough. The staff even called the next hotel to ensure my reservation was there as to make sure my luggage goes to the correct spot.

The public bath was clean, relaxing, and much needed after walking 20k steps a day. For those with tattoos, stickers are provided at the front desk free of charge.

The hotel does offer coin laundry, and the nice thing is that there is a mode on the TV labeled “congestion” which allows you to see the availability of the laundry machines, how much time is left on the cycle, and if someone is past their pickup time. I didn’t get a chance to use the machines because they were always in use but it was not a big deal.

Overall, I really enjoyed my time at The Blossom Kyoto!
