The best dining experience I had in Kyoto! Everything was delicious, with a wide range of of subtle and deep flavors of traditional Japanese cuisine. For lunch, they have an tea tasting with your meal and can try as many teas as you like. A course lasts about an 1 hour and a half and will let you have taste of what real Kyoto cuisine is! My favorite was the fried tofu.

Each dish and tea that we were served was amazing. The service was excellent too, and each staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of each dish. The houttuynia  tea was probably my favorite tea. Also, I really recommend their yellow chive rolls! They are really soft and delicious. I had a great time and would love to visit again someday.

We were so lucky to find this herb store/cafe/restaurant near our hotel thru Google last week when we tried to enjoy good breakfast/brunch in Kyoto. The foods were basically Japanese style, but they were refined, healthier, and delicious. It’s the experience you definitely need to consider when you visit Kyoto.

This was such a great last minute discovery and a highlight of my trip in Kyoto. Highly recommend if you like traditional Japanese food and want a unique dining experience. After a few nights out in Osaka and Kyoto and the travel getting to Japan, this meal brought me back to life and was exceptional. The hot pot and sesame tofu, plaid the various “Kyoto taste” bites were beyond delicious and the prices for the quality is very good.
