Such a lovely place. Very reasonably priced but seating is limited. Please be mindful that it is only one person doing everything here! It seems like best etiquette is to let her notice you upon walking in and she will let you know if she can accommodate you before sitting.

We had a great time with Ajimi - it’s like you’re sitting in her kitchen while she’s cooking. Super tasty - we had the grilled fish menu (1,000 yen) and can highly recommend it

It's a small and cozy place.
The atmosphere is very relaxing.
The owner makes all the food fresh to order. The food was absolutely delicious.
She was a Geisha for 60 years and her photos are hung on the back wall.
Such a great experience hopping into such a unique place for lunch.

We went to Nara for our 1 year wedding anniversary, and we were so happy to have found this little gem. A delicious  traditional Japanese restaurant owned by a beautiful retired geisha who we loved and who made our day very special just by meeting her. You can also see pictures of her from her performances hung up. Thank you so much for such a lovely meal and for your kindness, you really made it a very special day for us and we hope to come back and visit you again soon 💙
