Excellent new hotel in the heart of Shinsaibashi - fabulous concept targeting international visitors - very welcoming front desk check-in who speak multiple languages - loved their self water refill eco initiative - spacious communal area in the reception where you can get complimentary coffee / tea to sit & chill. There is also industrial sized washing / dryer facilities. We had a twin room which was spacious by Japan standards. Good software implementation with the smart phones in the room. Fabulous breakfast selection as well. Overall a fabulous hotel in the heart of Osaka with a fabulous concept that should be replicated in many more cities. Would return anytime - highly recommended !

We stayed at The Flag for a week and thought it was a great hotel overall.

Great location, so much to do nearby and a short walk to Dontonburi. The room itself was spacious and clean, and air conditioning was really good. The only thing I didn’t like was the TV placement in the room. The shower in particular was really nice compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in here.

They don’t have a microwave but offered to microwave our food for us in the staff room. Staff were also helpful with shipping our luggage to Tokyo and in general too.

We really enjoyed staying at Hotel The Flag Shinsaibashi. The location was great, with easy access to shopping, dining, and public transport. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is modern and clean. We also loved the coffee station which offers tasty free coffee.

The only downside for us was the floorplan and soundproofing. The bathroom door was very close to the front door which made it hard to have a designated shoes/dirty area (obviously not important to everyone). We were also woken one morning at 6:30am to our neighbours vibrating phone alarm. My partner thought it was my phone and asked me to turn it off. Other than that, everything was excellent, and I would still recommend this hotel for its overall quality and convenience.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Hotel The Flag in Osaka! From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed by the most amazing scent filling the air, creating a calming atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and kind, always going above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. The hotel is impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully maintained. This was the first time I ever entered a hotel room and felt calm and at ease. I loved the convenient laundry services, which made my trip even more hassle-free. The water bottle refill station was a nice touch and the coffee station was a bonus! And let's talk about the breakfast buffet — it was absolutely incredible! A wide variety of delicious options, all freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The corn soup and chicken karaage were out of this world! Also, the location was perfect! I can't recommend Hotel The Flag enough, and I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Osaka!
