Delicious Tonkatsu! Super juicy and crispy. Language is not a problem, there's an English menu and the staff try very hard. Friendly chef and even free ice cream at the end! They will also refill your rice and cabbage for no extra cost.

Definitely worth grabbing some dinner here if you're in the area (it's very convenient if you're staying at the Miyako Hommachi hotel).

It's busy so when I went I had to give them my name and come back in 40 minutes but it was worth it. Don't be late or you'll miss your spot and have to start again. Excellent Japanese dinner spot!

Walk-in is okay, but be prepared to wait (this is what we did - it's worth it).

The atmosphere is in true Japanese style diner, counter seats available.

Their selection of pork is impressive. They serve only branded pork from regional Japanese producers. Refills of cabbage and rice is free for those with bigger appetites.

Service is wonderful and friendly to tourists. They actively use a translation app to speak to you. Very friendly.

The ice cream finisher is a nice touch to freshen up your pallet.

Highly recommend.

My wife and I managed to score walk in seats without waiting granted we could finish the meal within an hour; no problems!

Warmly greeted by the store owners and made our order, English menus supplied.

Food was brought out and although the waiter couldn’t speak English she still ran through what cuts were what on the tray.
The katsu pork was very very delicious and cooked to perfection! It left us wanting more!
As we finished our meal we were served a small scoop of ice cream followed by a green tea.
Definitely recommend, maybe ensure you have a reservation as it seemed we got lucky and quite a few groups were turned away after we were seated.

The staff were incredibly welcoming, providing attentive service and making us feel right at home. This place serves really good tonkatsu.  Breaded evenly and not greasy.  They allow you to choose the breed of pork from various prefectures for your meal. I had chosen the premium cut and the fat literally melts in your mouth.

The restaurant is run by a family and the environment feels very homely.  Extremely kind and polite, quick to attend to you.  Restaurant is small, so best to come in a small group.  Made a reservation a couple of weeks in advance.
